Hi, I got three estimates for a boat cover which varys by as much as $450.00. Why is that? Should I go for the cheapest price?

Yazz1,
Prices vary greatly from region to region but I am going to assume that you got all 3 of your estimates from your local area.
The first thing that you need to do is to get each of the Boat Cover fabricators to write down exactly what you are getting for your money. You would need to know the material used for the job that you are getting, because there are many different types of material that can be used. If a Canvas Shop uses a cheap material they can give you a low price for a cheap job.
Getting estimates based on the same material levels the playing field in terms of price. (This will be good if you select a Canvas Shop based on your budget)
But unfortunately price is not an indicator of quality workmanship. You can find low prices with good workmanship and you can also find high prices with poor workmanship. You should ask around Boatyards in the vicinity of the Canvas Shops to get an idea of how satisfied their customers are with their work. When it comes to Boat Canvas nothing beats a recommendation.
