why does my boat motor blow out white smoke
CaptJohn gave this response on 5/7/2000:
If its just a few puffs of white smoke, when you first start out, that is normal, due to mixing gas and oil. If its billowing tons of white smoke, your in a heap of poop. If it's a car engine, [i/o 302 ford, as an example], then its a bad head gasket, warped head, or cracked cylilnder, in any case, it's getting ready to blow up. Don't run it!!! CaptJohn
