My wife and I are shopping for a family ski boat this weekend. The problem is, I don't know squat about boats! If you could offer some questions and tips for my to ask and look for when shopping or recommend a specific type or brand of boat I would appreciate it. We are currently lookint at the 20i Tige boat direct drive for the safety of not having the prop at the end of the boat where someone could get hurt when getting in the boat while in the water. I'm leary about a used boat because not knowing how the prior owner cared or abused the boat worries me. Help.
Thank you, Shawn

Shawn:Dont know how much help I can give as I always used boats for fishing. It was my lively hood. Going new is great.I agree w/your reasoning. Look for a boat with a t least a 3 year hull warranty and shop the name brands.Probably going to pay top dollar this time of year.Best time to buy is before or after the season Only hull I really know for skiing is Ski Nautique. They have been around for a long while.I see an awful lot of them up here on Sebago Lake in Maine. Hope this helps.Appreciate if you would rate this answer.Thanks.Safe and fun boating.Dont forget to wear your PFDs----icarius31
