Ebbtide makes a fine boat comparable to 4 Winds and Larson.Sorry to say I know nothing about the Galaxtron.Nor have I heard of them. A good rule of thumb is to see how long they have been in business. They wouldnt be around very long if they produced a poor product. To make an intelligent decision as to which one to buy give them a test ride.Dont go out on a bluebird day with the water like a millpond.Get down and dirty.Go out when its blowing and spray is coming over the gunwales while the boat is tied to the dock. If the boat is a cuddy or an open boat with a canvas shelter you will find out where the water may come in.Run the boat into the sea and in a following sea.How does it handle in a cross chop? Before you do all these things make sure you can handle the boat or take along someone who knows his way around a boat in lousy weather. You may think that you wont run the boat in bad weather and you may not. But,hopefully there wont come a day when you are miles off shore and a line squall hits.Enough sermonizing. Two other things look at the warranty. It should be transferrable and be in effect for a minimum of 3 years or longer.Last, ask the man who owns one.Get a customers name from the dealer and go to it. No matter which boat you buy enjoy it.Use it as much as possible and if you have a family teach them boat safety and how to operate it. great boating. If my answer helped please rate it.Thanks,Icarius31
