does anyone know any theories on why there are so few minority serial killers (black, asian etc)? i know there have been some, though i cannot remember who. and i know that in africa and asia there have been serial killers. of course it is largely a western phenomenon and america holds the title. and the overwhelming majority are white males. i can understand hte male part to some degree, but the relative lack of american minority serial killers stumps me, adn i have been unable to find any theories on this. thanks in advance.

Serial Killers are not all white, it is only statistics speaking. There is a PROPORTIONATE number of female, black, hispanic and asian serial killers.
E.g. Black: Wayne Williams Hispanic: Adolfo de Jesus Constanzo, Juan Vallejo Corono, Albert De Salvo, Pedro Lopez Jewish: David Berkowitz Asian: Charles Ng.
Because America is the leader of the free world it is producing more serial killers (or are publicised more) than other countries. Check out France, and Germany, there are many killers there also.

thank you. i am very aware that there have been women killers, jane toppan and aileen wournos, as well as killers in other countries, joseph vacher and peter kurten. as well as minorities in the u.s. i was just in a discussion with a relative who said there were no black serial killers, i said there were killers in all minorities, he said this may be true but to a much lesser extent. i agreed and he asked if i knew of any theories on why. all i could offer was that as minorities, they would naturally be less prominent in the are, but he was not satisfied and wanted what he termed "a real theory", i.e. some kinda biological or social theory. i thank you for your help, have a good one.

With many serial killers there is an organised mode to it, a delicate planning and fantasy part of the whole killing. The death of the victim is not the main part of a serial killers agenda, it is the fantasising about the plan, the fear and power. Which is prodominantly "white middle class" sociology and biology.
