does anyone know any theories on why there are so few minority serial killers (black, asian etc)? i know there have been some, though i cannot remember who. and i know that in africa and asia there have been serial killers. of course it is largely a western phenomenon and america holds the title. and the overwhelming majority are white males. i can understand hte male part to some degree, but the relative lack of american minority serial killers stumps me, adn i have been unable to find any theories on this. thanks in advance.

Good Morning 'kinghappy'
Yes, there has been study in this area. Though there has been some evaluation in the difference in emotional relationship with particular cultural background and race, there has been nothing completely founded. Basically, we have given this, for the time being, to the fact that they are 'minorities' in this country. Therefore, it is merely given to a numerical demographic with regard to the emotionally obsessed killing.
We have recently had a case in this state of a classified 'serial killer' who is hispanic. As more minorities proprogate and infiltrate into this predominately 'white-anglo society', we feel certain that the number of serial killings by other races will also rise. This is theory, however.
Of course, the study of this has been pretty in depth, and if you wish to know more of the details of it, you can contact the Department of Justice and see if they will provide you with more information.
Sincerely, tcsmpsi
