I was sent a worm via email from a friend (unknowingly). How do I remove the worm? I have Norton installed in my computer, but it doesn't remove the worm.
NataliePratt asked for clarification on 4/19/2000: There are many types of worms on the Internet today. Do you know the name of the worm, that you received?
If not, what exactly is your computer saying or doing to make you suspect a worm?
The more details you can provide, the easier it will be to remedy the problem.

There are a couple ways that you can try. The easiest is to download a free fix. After downloading, follow the instructions of the program. A few of different options are:
Free downloads: http://davecentral.com/10829.html - Pretty Park Cleaner 1.03 Freeware (Very Good Site)
http://www.anticode.com/cgi-bin/showdsc.anticode?cat=antivirus.html - PrettyParkCleaner.exe
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/prettypark.worm.html - PrettyPark.Worm (Scroll down a bit)
Manual Removal: http://vil.mcafee.com/vil/vpe10175.asp - Mcafee (more difficult, if you are not familiar with doing it)
