what are the conditions of overcrowded prisons?
tbp gave this response on 4/6/2000:
Horrific. Persons are housed in "reception" center that are morelike warehouses. Some are forced to move into tent cities. What then goes on is a myriad of abuses ranging from brutal beatings to gang rapes. The guards are euther overwhelmed or unconcerned and the person is severely traumatized by the experience. Then they are moved to their official prison where they are celled two to three men and the danger there is obvious. It is both terrible and atrocious. tbp
