You may have viewed the documentaries, "Paradise Lost: The Robin Hood Hills Killings," or "Revelation: Robin Hood Hills Revisited" on HBO. The documentaries deal with three young men found guilty of the alleged ritualistic homicide of three young boys. One of the accused now sits on Death Row awaiting execution, while the other two are in prison for life with no expectacny of parole. Various groups have lobbied to have the case appealed. What do you think of the case in particular, as well as the public's intervention into various cases where there seems to be a miscarriage of justice? This may go hand in hand with a prior question posted by d_ottr about Mumia Abu Jamal....

There are several items which really blow my mind about this case. Not the least of which is Mark Byers. He is the best possible suspect and the one to whom the police and prosecutors gave a walk. I am really surprised that this man was allowed to avoid any kind of scruntiny because he was "the agrieved stepfather." This man is a danger to society, especially in light of the fact that his wife has now died with an "undetermined" cause of death. The simplest fact, the bite marks on the one victim's face, were ignored by ALL of the officials prosecuting this case. I will admit that the three convicted for this death were "out there". But that is not a reason to sentencve someone to die. If it was, once again, Mark Beyers tops my list. He cannot keep a story straight between one breath and the next. What really amazes me is that credible law enforcement officials would rather allow three innocent men to die and/or be incarcerated for the rest of their lives rather than admit that they may have been wrong. I could go on with this subject for hours, but let me close with this last one...Beyers wife died with a lot of drugs in her system. Beyers was arrested and convicted for selling prescription drugs. She may have known something, or at least discovered someting about the truth in this case. Amazing that prosecutors and law enforcement are not bothering to examine this issue. Embarrassed, boys and girls?

Very good answer. You have some knowledge of the case adn the pertienent facts. I'm not giving these points because you AGREE with me, I am giving them because you base your opinion of the relevant facts. I wonder if anyone out there has any strong factual evidence that any of the three convicted are actually responsible???
