Okay, it is a little later and I have a few more minutes...

The other two picketers today were Lisa and Anita. I wasn't sure earlier whether they wanted their names used so I left that detail out of the previous post. They took turns working the crowd that was lining up to enter the rock concert, and getting some very enthusiastic responses. As I said earlier, around 300 fliers were handed out by the 3 of us in about 2 hours. Anita's sign was a hit with the crowd too, I will post that to a.b.s.

Lisa and Anita had an entertaining walk back to the cars, when they realized they were being shadowed by two osa security thugs... the osa guys were following them a half block away, and there was a row of shrubs between them... I think it was Lisa that parted the shrubs to do a little "peekaboo" with osa hiding behind the bushes...the pic (on abs) of the osa dudes following us was taken just after that.

A few $cientologists passed by us while we were there, one was carrying a big bag of Hubbard books and wearing a Battlefield Earth T-shirt, talk about devoted!

I was most struck by the reactions of many people, who whether they took a flier or not, said they agreed and thanked us for being there. One guy in hospital scrubs said he wished someone was out there every single day protesting the criminal racket that is $cientology!

On a somewhat negative note, there seemed to be quite a few injuries taking place at the concert. I let one girl use my phone to call her parents for a ride home after she got beat up in the mosh pit, she had scratches all up and down her arms... paramedics treated one head injury near us, and another girl had what looked like a broken leg and was loaded into an ambulance. I think this was more of a "hard rock" concert than I have ever heard of being held at Coachman Park, and I do know that this kind of show does often result in moshpit injuries... kinda comes with the territory... most injuries seemed relatively minor, and I do hope everyone got out of there ok and that most had a good time.

All in all, it was a beautiful day for a concert and a protest. I hope they hold more events like this at Coachman Park!
