Report on the 2001 New Years event. NOTE: ALL QUOTES ARE FAIR USE QUOTES
The following is a report of the of the 2001 New Years Event that took place in Los Angles a day or two before New Years. This has become standard practice as Int Management needs time to edit the videos before they are sent to the orgs. I am using both my marvelous recall and a recently published article to report this event. Yes, folks, I attended the event. Don't even bother asking me where. The event started as does every event with the pompous Jeff Pomerentz announcing the start of the event. The camera pans to DM who smiles while getting his standing O. DM used to cut these standing O’s short. Now he stands there and sucks them up. DM greeted the crowd with a tone 40 “ Welcome to the REAL New Year celebration of Earth!”. Mouths were agape at all the wondrous things that DM had to say about the expansion of Scientology. Expansion News: WHAT IS SCIENTOLOGY? EXHIBITION IN EUROPE DM reported that over 100,000 visitors got their first look at the real world of Scn. That the LRH Exhibition which has been in the US, Africa, Eu and India has been visited by 10’s of thousands of people and that this tour has created more than 600,000 orders for LRH books. DM told us that the demand of the tech in cyberspace was absolutely the highest ever and resulted in 338 new official web sites in the past year alone with over 120 million hits. This figure is larger that the total hits in the past 4 years. DM failed to mention the parishioners.org site and the bigot watch site. He also failed to mention that of the 120 million hits, at least half of them were from participants of ARS.
DM stated, “ A reflection of how deeply we have reached into society is the respect we now command from courts and governments in the world over. In the legal arena, we saw no less that 65 major victories, including the wipeout of one of the most suppressive attacks in our history. Note: I have no idea what he is talking about. “Meanwhile, official recognition of our true nature was likewise unparalleled--four new religious recognition’s in just the last quarter...seven in a single year, another all-time high!” DM told us that the C of S brought Dianetics to half the people of Guyana. I don’t know how many here are familiar with Guyana but the place is a real shit hole. I imagine that DM brought Dianetics to half the people there by buying Dianetic ads on the radio and TV. DM also reported that the British Navy has had a complete turnaround in viewpoint in regard to the C of S. DM reported a very impressive story about a professor at the Texas Lutheran University, who discovered that the poor freshman there were being taught this insidious subject of “Liberal Arts” This professor, who was also a highly trained Scit convinced the University Administration to get rid of this “Liberal Arts" Class and replace “how brains learn in different ways” with study tech. Thesubject of Human Nature, which included the works of Marx and Freud were summarily thrown of the window and replaced with doing a huge clay demo of how psych tech suppresses spirituality using of course, the What is Scientology book as a reference text. Next came the dangerous subject of Social Relations. This was replaced with data on the Tone Scale and the ARC Triangle. I mean god forbid these kids get any other viewpoint. There is only one true and correct viewpoint. All others just suck the big one. DM reported that this was such a successful action at the Texas Lutheran Univ. that it created a statewide phenom. And now more than 3,000 Texas teachers are bringing the study tech to over 30,000 students. HIP HIP HOORAY!!!

We got expansion news about the new Milano org which is now the largest Class V org in the world and even got to see a video about the wonders of the Golden Age of Tech and the fabulous results of it. As in all Scientology events after a video is shown, a new speaker appears at the dais. It is now Mr. Heber Jentzsch turn to brief us on ABLE which is bringing LRH’s solutions to millions planet wide!!!!
It should be noted here that DM was wearing a very stylist Black Tux with a Black Bow tie and white pocket handkerchief.. However, Heber, Rinder, and Mithoff all wore the black Tux’s ( of obvious lesser quality than DM’s) and each had the exact same Tux and gray/blue bow tie with no pocket handkerchief. Karen Hollander work a very stylish black evening dress that showed some shoulder skin, but produced no woodie’s. OK back to Heber. Heber, huffed and puffed his way through his speech. At these events it should be noted that there are several monitors in front of and on either side of the dais in which the speaker is able to see and read from. These monitors are carefully made so as to almost be invisible to the audience and they are almost never seen on the video. It gives the appearance that the speaker is briefing you from memory. The only time they actually refer to the notes or sheets of paper that are lying on the dais is when they have a direct quote from LRH.
Sorry, back to Heber again. Heber started out with his usual dreck about how awful it all is. In over 70 countries, homicide is up 45%, drugs, crimes blood brother per the emoting Heber costs economic woes in the US to the tune of 100 billion dollars a year. 73.5 trillion is spent WW for education yet 1.1 billion can not read. But not to worry folks. ABLE is here to the rescue. WINS Heber reported: That the Narconon program in Utah’s juvenile court system is producing unprecedented results and that it is now the referral program of choice in Utah and is entirely state funded. Criminon is now delivering the tech to 1508 prisons in 23 countries. Highest ever. Narconon has added 22 drug ed programs and rehab centers in the past year alone for a grand total of 91. This has doubled it delivery of drug ed to over 226,000 people. Applied Scholastics has 185 education centers and brought the study tech to 362,000. Another Highest ever!!!!!! The Way to Happiness was published in a bunch more languages for a total of 35 languages in 84 countries with more that 56 million copies given out WW. “The year 2000 marked a milestone year in ABLE’s advance against psych-generated tyrannies of crime, drugs, immorality and illiteracy” said Heber.
Next on the line up was Mr. Mike Rinder. Rinder spoke of the far reaching results from WISE. I have been pissed off at WISE for a long time so this is where I took an opportunity to take a leak. But I did come back in time to get some stats. 9 new Hubbard Colleges opened for a grand total of 25 WW Enrollment of students increased by 60 % WW with the total number trained in the Admin tech to 12,000. Translated materials are now available in a bunch more languages.
Next was Karen Hollander. She spoke of SMI. Scientology Missions International. Now SMI usually bores the shit out of me so I got up again this time for a cigarette break. Being an OT and a rather no nonsense kind of person, has it’s advantages. I am never accosted or questioned by staff as to my comings and goings at events. But here are the notes on the stats for SMI SMI delivered over 260,000 WDAH and trained more than 6000 Book One Auditors. The Mission Network doubled the total number of mission staff in tech and admin training. A bunch of missions opened but no count was given. Since no total stat was given but instead a list of places where missions opened was reported it is likely that it was not an upstat. However it was reported that there are now 77 countries with mission. and this proves unprecedented expansion. Next up was Ray Mithoff. Ray spoke about field auditors and I HELP ( even with my flawless recall, I can’t remember what I HELP stands for) Ray reported that MILLIONS have been reached with the news of Scn and Dianetics from Swaziland to Lesotho , and from Mali to the Congo with the help of field auditors. Ray told us that the number of field auditors doubled ( no specific numbers), that over 200,000 WDAH was delivered by the I HELP folks which is a 6X expansion since the release of GAT. The number of PC’s sent to upper orgs by field auditors doubled “with the numbers of those sent up the line for Clear at more that 11,500 and highest ever”. Whatever that means. Then there was the awards ceremony for top field people. WORLD CHAMPION MISSION FSM Andre Sizov from St. Petersburg, Russia In the past year Andre has delivered more than 500 lectures to over 10,000 people and has selected ( got paid for) 145 people into the org. 145 out of over 10,000 is not that impressive to me. WORLD CHAMPION CLASS V ORG FSM Mauizio Pastore from Milano, Italy. No stats given for Mauizio but he attested Clear in 1993 and is on his Solo Course. He is also the Div 6 reg at the Milano Org.
WORLD CHAMPION SEA ORG SERVICE ORG FSM Ty Dilliard from LA, Calif. Ty is a Class VI, OT VIII. He got 120 people to arrive to Sea Org orgs in the past year. WORLD CHAMPION FLAG SERVICE ORG FSM Wendy Ettricks from LA, Calif. Wendy is OT VIII, L’s comp now on the SHSBC She has gotten no less than 1000 people on the bridge. I believe this is a lifetime stat not a one year stat. WORD CHAMPION FLAG SHIP SERVICE ORG FSM Mike Phillips. No location given for where he lives. Mike is OT VIII Class VI This year Mike got 176 people on the bridge and has gotten more people to the Freewinds than any other FSM that has not yet been declared. ELITE FSM AWARD. This award is given to a chosen few. It requires that the FSM get a minimum of 1000 onto the Bridge in a single year. The award goes to Diana Pedroni-Giffuni. In the past year Diana has held 116 events, brought in 9791 new people for intro services and selected over 1000 people onto their next step. Translation: She was in some back water country. Rounded up 9791 people and gave them a talk about ARC. This counts as an intro service. Of those 9791, over a thousand bought an intro course. Other Highlights: New tape lecture series released called the Game of Life. DM claims that they are 20 lectures never before available.. Cost $240.00 or $192.00 with IAS Lifetime membership, which only costs 3000 grand these days. The Finale: Each event has a theme or a message that Int Mgmt is trying to push. Other than the usual unprecedented expansion news and highest evers, this event was a push for GAT. DM gave his closing speech to the audience. I am putting a Disclaimer in here. I am reporting on the event and in quoting DM, I am claiming Fair Use Quotes. If I have not done this correctly, I would appreciate the critics letting me know this so I can amend the post. DM said. “Our certainty flows from two things. We have the tech to make it happen. Note: That’s right folks the stat of paid asses in the chair is of the utmost importances. “That is what the Golden Age of Tech is all about: Making the reality of what Scientology can achieve, your reality. “No matter what you do in or out of Scientology, the increased knowledge gained in its study is the key to your eternity. “What training gives you needs no sales pitch--its pure fact. “It’s the one answer that an be given to any question as to ‘What one should do’ “We recently did a survey which revealed an average 400 point increase in OCA test results by students training without receiving any auditing. “As impressive as that is, these are more so. “First, 90% of Scientologists who have completed GAT training have since gone Clear. “And second, 79% are now OT. “And that’s what its all about. “Training gets you there and handles apparent barriers in life preventing that achievement. “And since we really do care that you make it, let me bluntly address the two most famous of barriers. “The first is ‘no time’. “Well, we all know that time itself is the biggest lie and hence, so must be that barrier. “Factually, you have no time not to get trained. “As LRH said, the untrained spend more time wondering ‘why life is the way it is’ than the student spends on training and finding out. “As for the second famous barrier...obviously it wouldn’t be a barrier if you had the tech of life." NOTE: I know, I know. I have no idea what is suppose to be the second famous barrier I am quoting text here and they left it out.
