Monday, 5 May 03, about 9:30AM: Vehicles 6. 3 students on course, 9 people visible in the building. At 9:40am, when I had left, 7 vehicles.
The inside of the org is clean, the air conditioning was on. There was some newbie young lady on Reception, and I was quickly transferred to a seasoned staff member.
She opened up with a statement like, "this is a religion". Almost immediately she said this, perhaps all orgs do this now???
I asked for, and received a tour of the org. It is really a kind of small place. The course room is quite small. As I recall it would seat about 20 people. But if you had 8 people in that room it would be crowded already. I would guess this room was 10' X 8', something like this. Maybe 12x10.
She showed me hubbard's office, and explained that the office was there because hubbard might want to use if he is in the area.
The May 17th Dianetics Event is being held in some hotel, didn't get the name, and it looked like about 21 confirmed people so far, on the 'confirmed board'. But 'confirms' could have been as low as 14, I couldn't stop long enough to really study the board. Some names may have been duplicated in different columns.
ahhh, just remembered... we went to where the 'auditing' rooms are, I would guess they might have 4 of them. As we turn a corner there is a door open with an unfolded blanket lying on the chair in full view. She quickly gets me away from there. This is understandable, there is at least one person living at the org. I would guess that from now on, for a little while anyway, all blankets will be folded and put out of sight at this org, maybe all orgs.
My entire visit to this org was about 10 minutes. I gave them some fictitious name to keep them happy. I left with a personality test, and that was all. And I never filled out any forms of any kind. As this woman and I got back to the Reception area she was called for some reason. I took that opportunity to say , "thank you" and make a quick exit. I was polite, I was courteous, I was in and out so fast I doubt anyone there would recognize me a month from now.

Thanks for the great report Ted. Too bad you posted this report so soon. You could probably have attended the May 9th event and given us a report on it. :)
Regarding that blanket in the auditing room.
Per policy all auditing rooms are to have a blanket in them in case the PC gets cold. I don't remember the name of the HCOB but it's part of the "Session Setup" and it includes something like 50 different things that have to be done to get ready for a session. Putting a blanket in the room is just one of them.

Yes but without a doubt this blanket is not kept on a chair in the auditing room. And even if this were so, the blanket would be folded and not tossed on the chair. Add to this the woman's discomfort at seeing that heaped up blanket exposed, and what you have is that somebody, at least one person, sleeps in this org. Somebody got up that morning, threw the blanket on the chair, and forgot to fold and hide it is what happened. They opened at 9am probably, I was there about 9:30am. It is very unlikely that a short auditing session was held.
