Here is a series of three posts to alt.clearing.avatar. The person named
Jim/Wayne has been conducting a frenetic campaign to shut down
discussion boards that expose Harry Palmer, the Scientology squirrel who
now heads the Avatar mini cult. "Jim" even started a bogus baord of his
own (the Freetar 51 link). I have been told by prefessional therapists
that he sounds manic depressive. What do you think? --Eldon Braun

MY ORIGINAL POST UNDER THE HEADING: "Warning re: Star's Edge"
There appears to be a considerable amount of turmoil within the Star's
Edge Network at present.
My warning still holds: If you plan to take the Avatar Course, the
Avatar Masters or Pro Course, or Wizards 2001 in January, for your own
financial protection, do the following:
1. Demand to see any and all contracts or agreements that you will be
asked to sign BEFORE giving anyone any money. This is just good business
practice. They are known for getting you to travel someplace and commit
to a course, and then sticking some questionable contract in front of
you to sign-- after the fact, and without the benefit of legal counsel.
This is documented.
2. Ask specifically what are the stipulations and agreements about
refunds and multi-level kickback schemes regarding the "Conditional" and
"Provisional" Master teaching licenses. Are you required to pay half the
course fees to a supervisor for students you teach? How does the
commission structure benefit the Master who taught you the course? Why
the price fixing? Is that legal? Ask questions. See an attorney.
3. If you are asked to pay in advance for a course at Star's Edge,
particularly Wizards, I advise you to wait until you are sure the course
will be delivered. Harry Palmer has been known to collect money for
services in advance and then skip town with the money. This is
documented.
Just playing Ralph Nader here.

Eldon the Koos is a goner? Now it's Eldon the Ralph Nader. Actually this
bothers me more. You scare me when you're talking sense.
I like your idea here: scare 'em all off. Last I heard, you couldn't get
a seat there till somebody else cancelled, but that I should keep
calling. You're my only hope, obi wan. No wonder there's a "disturbance
in the field". Darth Vader changed masks.
Two hundred and fifty new Avatars this week. Eighty nine hate posts from
Eldon. Get a grip.

Jom/Wayne/whomever,
I sympathize with your fixation on protecting the Star's Edge "religious
movement" at all costs. I realize that you think this cult is something
special and therefore above the law. Otherwise, you wouldn't be
spending so much energy on these desperate measures to stifle open
discussion and spread disinformation.
I can understand that Avatar, and possibly Scientology before that,
remporarily brought you the sense of peace and clarity you were seeking.
Maybe that lasted for awhile until "it" came back. And maybe your
experiences helped eliminate some of "it." It's also obvious that you
are pretty intelligent.
However, just now you should consider that you are being set up as the
fall guy. Sure, Harry will let you carry on and assist you from "behind
the scenes." But then when the heat comes down, he will say he had
nothing to do with it. Just like L. Ron Hubbard.
I serioiusly doubt that there were 250 Avatar graduates last week.
But even if there were that many, I think there would have been more
like 400 if the course were delivered in an ethical manner, at fair
prices, without all the multilevel hocus-pocus and deceit inherent in
the current system. So to my mind, Harry's purported proprietary
"ownership" of the mental processes he adapted from other sources
prevents people from gaining benefits in an open marketplace.
The last post I made is not a hate post. I didn't tell people not to
take courses from Star's Edge. It is just standard consumerist cautions,
based on prior experience and evidence.
Why shouldn't people know in advance exactly what agreements they're
expected to make?
Why should people make advance payments to someone with a known history
of extortion?
Can you answer those questions rationally? And I don't mean with an
excuse that Harry has a special dispensation from the Estro Companions
because he's going to save the planet.
Despite your best efforts, most of the evidence is still right there,
you know. At this URL:
http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Alps/4173/links.html
And if someone needs to see the Elmira articles, I can provide a copy as
corroborative evidence.
Now please, Jim/Wayne and your other identities--don't take my word for
it. Talk to someone you trust about this situation. Show them (all) the
documentation and get some feedback. Sure, I have gotten mad at you,
but "hate" is not a word that applies to my feelings about your
condition.
And now a word to the many sane and rational Avatar Masters who are
following this little saga:
The URL for that Freetar 51 site is registered to Wayne McMahon at an
address on 17th Stret in San Diego. The phone number listed on the
registration is for J. Reynolds in Chula Vista, CA, which is near San
Diego. I have that phone number if you need it. In my opinion, this
person needs help. Please make your best efforts to see that help is
made available.
Sincerely,
Eldon
