Many Scientologists are contacting me these days, all the
picket signs, web banners and media articles create
attention. I will share our communication with the rest of
you later if they allow me to do so. Still, I'll npw and
again post some quotes from my replies to claims and
questions that often are repeated so I can get your opinions
on them.
Here's one from one of my e-mails today:

I don't belive I am able to take away someone's belief.
I trust people are capable of thinking for themselves
and if they change their convictions it is themselves
and not me who does it. You reflect a very poor belief
in your fellow man, believing they would be so simple-
minded that they just changed their opinions because
they read my site. I state very clearly there that they
should not take my or anybody elses word for anything,
but check out both sides and make up their own mind.
If you start distrusting them you are very close to
protecting them from the whole picture, and that is
another step into the totalitarian mind set. It is
comforting to see that I react to that type of
argument.
People believe Chinese surgery and healing works and
therefore die because they stop traditional medical
treatment. It's their freedom, but if some of them
might choose differently if they only knew both sides
before they fell for the fraud, then it is worth trying
to make information available to them. That's why we
put freedom of speech so high in our society, because
we say every human has an equal right to think for
themselves. If half of the facts are hidden to them
they are not free, they are just victims of propaganda
and fraud. If seeing this diversity in society makes
you angry, disappointed or sad then I suggest you
stop and question your values. Something is very
wrong.
