There used to be a mockingbird in our yard, who would do that to my
Cooper's hawk, which was tethered to a perch by a six foot leash. That
mockingbird would stand just out of reach, taunting her, until one day,
I replaced the leash with an 8 foot one.
When I went out in the yard later that day, the Coop's was fat, and
mockingbird feathers were strewn across the grass.
OSA would do well to remember this!
