Subject: Buffalo Org 2003 renos


As we continue with "Buffalo Month" here on ARS, I thought I'd give people a peek at what was going on in May 2003, six months before the new Org's official grand opening.

Elli Perkins had been dead for two months. Jeremy Perkins was incarcerated but had not yet been indicted for her murder. Danielle Perkins Carlson had gone back down to FLAG. Don Perkins had been sequestered by the cult. Glen Byrnes, the future ED, was still in Clearwater, and probably had no idea what troubles awaited him up north.

The staff at CoS Buffalo were busily working on renovating the new bulding, and trying to raise additional money with a car raffle. And their fellow Scientologists in Clearwater and Los Angeles, who probably knew nothing about the Perkins tragedy, were rooting for them, as you can see below.

All for naught. As we know now, it was the grand opening that first brought Buffalo News reporter Mark Sommer to the Buffalo Org. And that was the beginning of Teresa Reger's ruin.

This is the org that was given to Ron for his birthday back in Feb 1971. So, you see, we are restoring a very special gift that was given to Ron. This building is absolutely Beautiful! And it is being restored with your help, which is very much appreciated.

Tickets are $100 each. And all proceeds go to the building renovations fund for the Buffalo Org. Our heroes there are working 18 hour shifts to get everything done, and the funds are greatly needed to keep them going.
