A study of the recently posted IAS (International Association of Scientologists) Patrons List was a revelation. These Patrons are people who are contributing money to the Church of Scientology 'War Chest.' Doesn't every church have a 'War Chest?' The 'War Chest' money as every former and active scientologist knows is used to fund a covert network of scientology agents whose function is to silence critrics and former members. The 'War Chest' money right now is being used to legally harass Keith henson, Graham Berry, Bob MInton, Tom Padgett and others.

CAN (Cult Awareness Network) was destroyed and taken over with the use of IAS Patrons money. .

I have previous IAS Patrons lists and they are one page lists. This latest list is astounding in the numbers of Patrons and the staggering amounts of money they are giving to the cult.

I discovered some Chicago area scientologists who were active in harassing CAN and I see now that CAN didn't have a chance with this kind of money arrayed against it. On page four you will see Cheryl Berman( $250.000*) and on page three, Gregory Basshaw (more about him on another post). Cheryl Berman is a PATRON MERITORIOUS and has given the cult in excess of $250,000...very probably $400,000 or more. Berman is the head of the Creative Division of the Leo Burnett Co. Leo Burnett is one of the big Advertising Agencies in Chicago with accounts like Disney, Hallmark etc. The Creative Division creates the TV ads and other other advertising for Leo Burnett's clients. Her husband, Randy Kretchmar, is reportedly an OSA agent for the Chicago area and was named as an accomplice (Gary Scarff Declaration) in the scientology plot to murder Cynthia Kisser, the ED of CAN. Kretchmar is not listed as a Patron.

Cheryl Berman's staff member, Greg Bashaw, was skipping out on company time to harass CAN staff and supporters. So , in essence you could say that the Leo Burnett Co. subsidized the takeover of CAN, with Berman's money, her husband's covert activites and Bashaw's money and harassment actions. This cost the public the services of a worthy public service organization and the loss of jobs for myself and the other CAN staff. Bashaw is no longer with Burnett and was last with Foote Cone & Belding Ad agency. in Chicago.

Do you think that the Leo Burnett Executives and Board, and Leo Burnett's clients have a right to know what the Creative Division has been doing on their time and money? Does the public have a right to know who is funding the criminal activities of the Scientology cult?
