Mike, I can fill you in with what I know of "Happy Valley. As you have read the Canyon School is located directly in front of the RPF quarters which I believe they refer to as "Happy Valley" The children of the Sea Org members who work at the Golden Era Productions a few miles down the road, attend the Canyon School. The school has a huge locked iron gate and is not opened to the public.

One cannot see the Happy Valley RPF from that area. however it is clearly visible from helicopter. Old buildings, ramshackle trailors I believe are used to house those making their amends in the RPF. I understand they have removed the Maypole and it has been replaced with a plam tree, however I have not seen it.

Many years ago a parent went there in hopes of seeing her grandchildren and was met at the gate by an armed guard.

She later caused enough entheta that her son and wife left the Gold with the intentions of returning when the children were older. She has since moved but know that she was automatically disconnected. The other couple that went with her that day also had grandchildren in the cult but they were in the Hollywood area. The grandmother finally made peace with the son and in doing so had to disconnect from any friends she had here in Hemet who were SP. Of course that included me. Amazing the control that is used on parents even at any age.

When one reads the "Contract" that a True Believer signs, relinquishing all his constitutional rights I cannot help believe that the time has come for accepting the fact that mind-control is alive and well. Once I had read "Battle for the Mind" by Sargant along with books by Lifton and Singer there was little doubt in my mind as to how normal people became indoctrinated.
