20/20 tonight featured an expose of an outrageous chiropractic scam in and around Michigan City, Indiana. A number of chiropractors there bilked the state Medicaid program out of millions of dollars with an elaborate and sick fraud using children. They had vans going around picking up children and they would be promised candy, games etc. and would be taken in the back door of their chiropractic clincs. Inside they would be entertained with games etc. while one by one they were taken in a room for a quick back 'pop' and then would be driven back to their homes or neighborhood. And the State Medicaid would get billed for each back 'pop'. Most of these children were inner city, black kids and some were given over 200 back 'pops' within a year. As I remember, I think that in some cases, the parents were paid a few bucks and went along with this. The State of Indiana has been investigating this unbeleiveable fraud and, so far, one of the chiropractors is in prison and another has lost his license. The State and Indiana taxpayers have been taken from millions of dollars and some children have been injured from the back 'pops.' This whole scam had the ring of the scientology-management scam. One of the chiropractors name was Guzek and another something like, Vanloose. I checked Scientologists-On-Line and they are not there. I may be wrong on this but it is worth looking into. If they are scientologists and were On-LIne, they may have been taken down as this case has been under investigation for a couple of years.

I was contacted a year or so ago by family member of a chiropractor in another state who had been charged with fraud by the state and the IRS. He had been lured into scientolgoy via one of the management front groups. If anyone in Indiana has more information on this case and more names, please post that information here.
