It seems there is a disparity between a stated goal of Scientology, Inc. and its practice.
The goal to which I refer is "clearing the planet"
"Fixed donations" are evidently required because it costs money to "clear the planet", which one is led to believe involves paying 'professional auditors'. "Clearing the planet" is supposed to make "civilization" a Good Thing for Everyone.
In reality, the majority of the money goes to the many many litigations perpetuated by Scn, Inc. If this is incorrect, please show otherwise.
At a church, financial statements are displayed quarterly, and left on the bulletin boards and published in newsletters; in other words, freely accessible.
Where are the financial statements of Scientology? What is being hidden?
And now the point I was trying to make...why isn't the money going toward actually "clearing the planet?" Because once the planet is clear, there will be no more SPs to sue, right?
Doesn't it make more sense then to use what money you have to "clear the planet" by making paid services free for more people? Doesn't it make more sense to "clear" as many folks as possible?
OH yeah... Hubbard's "doctrine of exchange." The only place I've seen the word "doctrine" in Scientology, Inc. So things aren't worth anything unless you have to pay for them, according to Hub. Which is the exact opposite of what I was taught...spiritual wisdom should *never* have a price tag.
So the best way to reach the goal of "clearing the planet" would be to use the money to make things free -- but then it wouldn't mean anything to anyone.
No lie!
