A CoS press release signed by Warren McShame was forwarded to Karin today, claiming that I was convicted in Sweden to the highest fine allowed by the law and a suspended sentence for copyright infringement back in 1996. The press release is dated June 13.
I know that prosecution against me has been in the making, but I have no idea about any actual court case, let alone conviction. If indeed there has been a hearing in my absence and without my knowledge, the outcome of it is null and void anyway.
What's strange about that this press release, is that was published in a mailing list, but doesn't seem to have been published on ars.
Neither could I find anything on the subject searching the major Swedish newspaper websites. Thus, the press release might be correct, but it might also be a hoax.
Has anybody heard anything?
I'll phone the court tomorrow and find out for sure, so don't bother investigating. I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about this already.

Not heard anything... could be a hoax. My opinion is that they are really crazy those times. Have no longer time to prepare tricked DA packs, say whatvere they could to try to divert attention from the major blow they ever got in France.
