Scientology Environmental Hypocrisy

As we know, The "Church of Scientology" is filled with hypocrisies.

Just begin with they selling "Freedom", to they insisting in their Creed that ""Man has the inalienable right to free speech" when we KNOW that isn't true, at all.

The list goes on and on. Today, one more popped up.

I decided since it was a lovely day, that I'd head out to a festival a friend E-mailed me about: World fest 2005. Here was their ad:

Ok, so I arrived and began cruising around the festival. Wonderful people, and terrific things, all things to help our environment.

Suddenly I got an awful feeling..remembering Scientology trying to fit into these sorts of things when I was in. (Remember the story where they changed the covers of ALL the books, putting a dark green cover over them with a small tree, and we had to give out live tiny trees? That was an OSA/PR caper I was in on).

Having visiting many vegetarian booths, fresh juice, live animals, water purifiers, "Save the LA River", T-shirts with cool sayings, Bumper stickers.."Think Peace!" etc..and between all of these delightful people, was who?

Oh yes...SCIENTOLOGY. Oh no, they didn't say they were Scientologists, that would be too overt, wouldn't it, and most environmental people know they don't give a rats ass about the environment, for the most part.

Instead, here was their booth:

Sure enough, they had the E-meter set up; with a lady I know giving their bogus tests. You have to realize, this is an entire group who doesn't: Recycle the TONS of paper they waste daily.

C of S doesn't recycle the TONS of cans wasted daily at Flag.

The C of S as we know sends out TONS of magazines, on glossy, heavy, non-environmentally cool paper.never once thinking about how this effects the environment. When I was going to Flag, I suggested to one of the Executives that they begin a recycling campaign at Flag..as it's horrible PR that they do not.

They, naturally, didn't have time.

Yet here these phonies are, promoting helping with toxins? Ha!

Well, I decided to do my own mini-picket. Not really a picket, but as they'd snag people.......I'd later give them a card, telling them "This is the other side Scientology won't tell you about". Each person I spoke with was REALLY happy that I told them.

One man said, "Oh yes.they said there are people like you, and to not listen to you at all." I said, "Of course....you might find out the truth, eh? I told him, and each person: "Don't believe me, go on the internet and find out for yourself." His girlfriend thanked me greatly, and he did too. He told me they had already made him feel like there was something wrong with him. What a surprise!

I also spoke with a few kids, and they flipped out hearing about Xenu. "COME ON!!!" We all laughed, I gave them cards with the Web sites, and asked them to pass them on to any other young kids who might be getting caught up in this. Their response? "OH definitely.we will!" They shook my hand, and thanked me for telling them.

Another Scientologist was lurking around, with his "GET PSYCHIATRY OUT OF SCHOOLS!" and the phone number for CCHR.

Granted, I'm not for School kids being drugged up either, but I also know 5 Scientology kids who took their own lives, and who knows what might have happened to them had they had the correct medical treatment they no doubt needed.

I'd walk by him, and each time he'd zoom off. Scared? I'm such a scary person. It's always amazing to me that some light bulb doesn't go off in their heads, as it did mine, when realizing the lengths Scientology goes to in order to STOP COMMUNICATIONS.

Well, all in all.....it was a delightful day. I met many lovely people, learned quite a bit, and got an invitation to go to a super cool place.

Please pass the word around your own communities about Scientology and their hypocrisies. Also, let kids know of the web sites. That way they won't get snagged in. They reeeeeeeeeeeeally appreciate it!
