Keith . . .
I believe that you bring up a ~VERY~ important point here.
I have mentioned to a few other critics, but I don't believe I have brought it up on the NG . . .
but when I was picketing in CW this past December, twice in one day I was approached by "citizens" who stopped to talk to me about Co$ . . .
and ~THEY~ distinctly said that someone should ~BLOW UP~ the $cientologists.
Another critic I mentioned this to, also said that they were approached by someone talking about blowing up or bombing Co$.
My response, was to simply look at the person with extreme pity for that type of ignorance . . .
and explain to them, if they ~really~ wanted the Co$ to lose it's power over CW, the ~BEST~ thing that they could to is to simply ~SPEAK~ the truth about what really goes on behind those walls.
But I thought that was odd that ~TWICE~ in one day I would be approached with this.
To me this either indicates that 1. What I most believe, these are OSA who were probably recording the conversation hoping to get a critic talking about blowing up and/or bombing Co$.
2. or that people in CW ~really~ despise the Co$, and while real ~NORMAL~ citizens of CW I have talked with have all said they want them out, and the they resent losing their city to them, those ~NORMAL~ citizens have at no time ~EVER~ spoken of violence.
But I am very glad that you brought this up, as I believe it is relevant, and I am wondering how many other ctitics get approached by "citizens" recommending violent actions.

I have not heard about bombs, but in 1996 when the public opinion
turned in favor of Zenon Panoussis, I read in the newspapers that CoS
in Stockholm claimed that someone had been shooting a bullet through
the window into the org.
A later article, which referred to the police investigation said that the hole in the window showed that the bullet had been shot from INSIDE the org and out. Evidently CoS had set up a situation to make it look that they were threatened.
