So Tory made it to the top of the hit list this week, huh? Not completely unexpected, but I'm still sorry she has to deal with all that slime.
She must obviously care a great deal for her family, or else OSA would not have chosen this as their focus of attack.
As a former member, I always felt that what is disturbing to think about is not the overts and withholds confessed they have on me - so what, I never made myself out to be perfect, and what is done is done and I have to live with it and take responsibility best I can. But they also know some of my soft spots, the things I care about, my dreams, the good points I may have.
If somebody jumps on that, it hurts.
It's so sad and revealing - OSA will try to grab and twist a beautiful, inspirational thing like love for your partner and your family into an ugly weapon. The OSA people doing it are probably not even aware of it, but what they are doing seems to be the essence of what people for centuries have called black magic. Or evil. "The road to freedom", yeah right! What a letdown.
Still, most people *are* good and will wake up, sooner or later. And it's very, very hard to completely kill off all the love and integrity and creativity that a person carries inside. This has often astounded me - how people can manage to transform truly questionable teachings (not just Hubbard's, but other's as well) into really beautiful ideas about life, picking out the pearls, interpreting things for the best instead of for the worst. There is hope, I think.
Take care, Tory and other OSA targets out there, and keep on dancin' Catarina *** Free tip of the day for Bill, Gwen and the rest of the gang: You can still keep your wins when you leave. They are yours! They are not owned by Miscavige or licensed by RTC.
