Someone posted this to a.r.s, but since lots of people filter on the word "psychs", I decided to repost with a different Subject:

Subject: Scientology Supports Psychs
After the Church of Scientology's efforts to interfere and interrupt
legitimate rescue efforts at NYC's Ground Zero, they have now upped
the ante by attempting the same on a local level.
As was well reported after the tragedy of 9-11, Scientology staffers, sporting yellow Volunteer Minister t-shirts, preened and posed for pics that would support their propaganda/press releases that attempted to falsely imply that they were actually helping rescue efforts. They brayed to their minions that they were working arm in arm with the Red Cross, when in fact they were being told to stay the hell out of the way. They actually sent out emails that touted their "wins" of elbowing the real mental health professionals out of the way and claiming to anyone who would listen that they, of all the rescue workers, had learned the "secret password" to sneak past Ground Zero security in order to intentionally get in the way of the "evil psychs."
Their efforts to pass as the National Mental Health Association gleaned the following statement from the real NMHA: "I urge the Church of Scientology to stay out of mental health," said Michael M. Faenza, president and chief executive of the National Mental Health Association. "The public needs to understand that the Scientologists are using this tragedy to recruit new members. They are not providing mental health assistance." (found at:

After being exposed for this fraudulent behavior, Scientologists moved
to garner a cleaner image by a pathetic attempt to attach themselves
to the Red Cross. Scientology issued public statements to various news
services claiming they were working with the Red Cross.
How odd is this? Public claims of their cooperative effort with the RC when in private the following statements were issued by email to their members: " Thats because the Red Cross' confront is sooo low they can't even see when people are suffering right in front of them. They are blind."
This is not the first time the hypocritical Scientology "ministers"
have made efforts to align themselves with the Red Cross.
Internationally, they have a reputation of making futile efforts to Velcro themselves to the Red Cross. This statement from a Swiss publication Hebdo titled "Scientologists misuse the Red Cross" at:
http://cisar.org/990812b.htm (Scientologists pretend to help Red Cross) The same thing was heard from the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) regarding several bogus press releases claiming Scn was working with the RC: "The ICRC has a principle: never to work with any kind of Church or religious community. That claim is ridiculous.
Nevertheless it is possible that Scientologists intended to achieve international recognition through the misuse of our name," explained press spokesman Urs Boegli.
Currently, after their pathetic efforts in NYC produced no results , they decided to attack from a different angle....a more local angle.....they set their sights on their favorite host for parasites:
Clearwater, Florida.
Scientology has sent its queen bee, Benetta Slaughter to infiltrate the CW branch of the Red Cross. She caused quite a scene recently:
pounding the table at the Red Cross insisting she be allowed on the board. Fortunately, the Red Cross has seen these efforts to insinuate and thus infiltrate their organization in the past....and Ms Slaughter was refused. Not satisfied with the results of her mission, Scientology bosses came up with a new strategy and Slaughter has now taken on the role of "Angel" (the ladies auxilliary branch of the Red Cross).
The IRONY of this maneuver is apparent to everyone but the Scientologists. It is a well known fact that the Red Cross spends a good portion of its donated funds providing professional health counselors to those they assist. Professional health counselors are known to Scientologists as "evil psychs." The question here is: WHY, if Scientology "tech" WORKS, would they then feel the need to align themselves with an organization that supports the use of psychological counseling? Could it be that after all these years, Scientology is admitting that THEIR version of mental health counseling DOESN'T work?
I suppose there will be much conflicted soul searching on the part of Ms. Slaughter, as, in her role of "Angel," she is required to raise money that will be used to pay for SHRINKS!
