Scientology Markets the Black Community
Tonight I was in Hollywood for a Premier. It was a movie called FIGHTING TEMPTATIONS. Excellent, funny movie about An Afro American Community with wonderful singing, dancing and humor. Truly a hysterically funny and delightful movie!
As I left, I noticed a man in dark clothes holding pictures up to a Group of young black men, in their 20's. The man holding the picture was asking them questions. Having been in Scientology for 30 years, I recognized This routine. I walked over with my friend to hear what he was saying.
Sure enough, he had different photos of a black man at a computer, A black man driving down the street, etc. Each picture he would ask, "What impression do you get?" As they'd answer, he'd quickly write down the answers. The next question: "Does that look like any particular ethnic or race?"
As I watched this, I realized for sure this was a Scientologist. I mentioned to the kids, "This is a Scientologist surveying you". He leaned over to me and said, "No. I'm getting opinions." I looked closer and could see his blue Sea Org Shirt below his navy jacket. I listened for a while, wrote down the questions and then left with my friend. We congratulated some of the Celebrities that were in the movie, and then we agreed to go to our separate cars and meet somewhere else for coffee.
Now walking down Hollywood Blvd in front of the theaters, I heard another Sea Org member asking a group of black young men similar questions! I stopped and mentioned, "This man is surveying you for their new Scientology org or mission they are bringing to Inglewood". The young man turned around shocked and said to me, 'Really??" I said, "Yes... he's a Scientologist".
The Sea Org member said, "No, this is Way to Happiness". I started to walk away, amazed at their endless ability to lie. Then I got irritated, walked back and said, "That is disgusting! One of the key principles in The Way to Happiness is, 'Always Tell the Truth". Yet you are out here lying to these kids saying you are not Scientology when you are! He again tried to say, Way to Happiness is a non-denominational subject". I said, "You're speaking to someone who was IN Scientology for 30 years. I know what I'm talking about and you and I KNOW "Way to Happiness" is under the umbrella of Scientology.
He insisted it is not.
That's a lie. That is an out and out lie. I told the kids that, and to remember this conversation farther down the road.
Finally as I walked away I heard him saying, "Ok, I'm a Scientologist, but this is about Way to Happiness, which isn't Scientology.
They justify this by saying "Way to Happiness" is not Scientology. Ok, fine.
It is a book about basic principles. However, it was written by L. Ron Hubbard, and is most definitely run by RTC, which runs all of the "Church" of Scientology organizations. They are all under one umbrella. It is used to increase Scientology's PR, although they will insist this isn't true. I would agree, except I spent too many years helping put in WTH programs, and hearing from the Exec's only one thing:
"DID WE GET PRESS?"
I hope many of you will pass this on to people you know in the Afro-American Community, here in LA. The mission or org is opening up in Inglewood, California. Scientology will see me saying this as "Suppressive" when in fact their SEA ORG members just lied, violating The Way to Happiness, while out surveying for it.
The truth is, they are trying to find the Afro-American Communities "Buttons". This is how people see or view things, both good and bad. Once they have these, ALL of their "Promotion" will be designed to "Help" and they will make sure to not have things that were noted as undesirable.
It's basic marketing. It isn't the marketing that's wrong. It is... as always... what they will do with the information, and the manipulative programs they will run on this unsuspecting community.

Tonight, as I said, I was in Hollywood for a Premier. As I left, I was walking to the parking lot and I saw one of my old best friends, her daughter and one of the Scientology Celeb's.
They were smiling with her, saying good-bye.
I figured I HAD to seize the moment. So I just stood there, waiting for them to turn around.
The daughter (Who we used to be VERY close) turned around, saw me, gave me a HUGE smile, then BOOM! The cult personality kicked in, she frowned and walked off.
I think she said, "Don't look, there's Tory" ..as her Mother (my previous life very good friend) just sneered at me, not suprised at all. She looked horrible, and black as the night.
It's always ...every single time...literally amazing to me to see the hatred these people have for me, when they've NEVER even heard what *I* have to say, or why I left.
Ahhhh well. I left for my car once again thrilled that I am free. Hopefully soon they will be too. :)
My best to all...........
