I've now heard from 3 local Clearwater citizens who were here when Scientology took over the Ft. Harrison Hotel in 1975. At that time the Scientologists had security guards with *rifles*!!!! protecting the hotel. So, I have to retract my theory that Scientology's paranoia is growing. It seems that it has always been there.
