All very good questions. There may be others, such as:
Q: If Scientology improves one's life, why did Hubbard abandon his first family, torture his second wife, and let his third wife take the fall for a few dozen felonies committed by both of them?
Why did Hubbard abandon and reject his son Quintin? Why did Hubbard kidnap his second wife's daughter and hold her as a hostage while he fled to Cuba, to force his wife to remain silent about him?
Q: If narCONon is so effective, why did Hubbard not avail himself of the process? Why did Hubbard remain a rum-swilling, dope-popping, bug-eyed drug fiend during his last 25 years?
Q: If Scientology / Dianetics is truely a "sience of the mind,"
why did Hubbard die a raving psychotic, with an ass full of psychiatric drugs?
Q: If Hubbard was a humanitarian, why did he write to his wife that "niggers" are on Earth so that they may scrub floors? Why did he write that Chineese smell of all the baths they do not take? Why did he write that a woman being raped does not bother him?
Q: Why did Hubbard claim to be a "war hero" when he not only never saw combat, but according to his son he faked a fire in the engineroom of one of his vessels so that it would not join combat in the Atlantic?
Q: Why did Hubbard claim he "researched" Dianetics for 30 years, when during that time he was a gold-bricking, lying, jobless, theiving, perjuring fraud who spent most of his time trying to squeeze money from the government for nonexistant wounds he suffered during nonexistant battles at war?
Q: Why did Hubbard practice Black Magic for almost a year, and then later lie about it?
Q: If Scientology is so big on responsibility and "ethics," why did Hubbard spend around 9 years hiding from justice in both France and the United States?
Q: Why did Hubbard constantly insist Scientology is not a religion, up until the time he discovered that calling it a "religion" would have him hundreds of misslions of dollars, and provide protecting against prosecution for practicing medicine without a license?
I could list dozens more.
