Subject: The difference between "Scientologist" and "CofS member"
I thought I'd clarify something for those new here.

A "Scientologist" is ...

.. one who uses the Scientology white "tech" for the purposes of helping themselves and others. Their method of operation is to use rationality, and good communication. They desire to see the truth and don't hide from truths that may be uncomfortable. Attaining judgement is one of the key uses of Scientology white tech. For example, the "data evaluation series" is a tool to help one evaluate a situation.

A "CofS member" (or church of Scientologist)is ...

.. a loyalist to the Church of Scientology and pretty much blindly believes that there is only ONE way to spiritual self-betterment, and that's the CofS's way of doing things. They fully believe everything LRH said ... not taking into account the possibility that LRH had a few engrams of his own. They believe that LRH is basically a messiah who had returned.

.. "CofS members" hate psychiatrists and want to destroy them by year 2000. They also hate "squirrel" groups including many church groups, and they actively seek to destroy them (and have succeeded).

.. "CofS members" also hate critics and try very hard to discourage their criticism through harassment of different sorts. Lots of people "CofS members" hate, don't you think? They feel that they don't need to justify or defend their abusive actions (or actions they SUPPORT by being a "CofS member") and that the only way they should deal with anybody questioning their actions is to ATTACK them.

They hypocritically preach tolerance and yet they viciously try to destroy other good self-help groups.

Unlike "CofS members", a real Scientologist believes that good communication with high levels of affinity with those who may disagree with them is the way to deal with a person, NOT attack. A Scientologist does not feel the need to try to suppress others views either. He/she is willing to look at others' viewpoints and communicate about them. A real Scientologist would prefer white Scientology tech to be totally FREE if at all possible. So any way to get it out is a good thing. Though this is in violation of the motives of the CofS organization. So "FREE Scientology" would actually be CofS's "opterm" (opposition terminal) A real Scientologists believes that any subject should freely grow and NOT stagnate. That includes the subject of Scientology. Those who stand on the shoulders of LRH to further refine the subject are welcome by real Scientologist. What counts is workability ...

So fellow claimed supporters of real white Scientology ...

Are you a "CofS member?" OR a "Scientologist?"

I believe it's impossible to be in BOTH camps. That's why I no longer ethically support CofS as it exists now. I really feel I'm keeping my personaly integrity on this. For any of you Scientology supporters, I would make sure you absolutely know what is going on in CofS before you decide to continue to support the CofS organization.

Scientology is NOT the CofS organization either. They are two distinct things. Scientology is a SUBJECT, but CofS is an ORGANIZATION. It appears that both some critics and most CofS members get these two muddled up.

So let's make it clear. I'm a Scientologist and I support white Scientology tech ... BUT ... I'm a NON-CofS Scientologist and I DO NOT support CofS.

I'm NOT a "CofS member." So when I say I'm a Scientologist, please use MY definition of what I'm saying because that's what I mean. I could even be called a Freezoner. A Freezoner is a FREE person who uses Scientology tech.

Please try to remember the distinctions above. I hate the evil going on in the CofS organization just as much as any other non- Scientologist critic. And I promise to do my part in exposing this evil.
