A Suppressive Person is defined in the policy of the Church of Scientology as one that actively seeks to suppress or damage Scientology or a Scientologist by his actions. (Ref: Introduction to Scientology Ethics, Page 48.) For years Bent Corydon has been the subject of attempts by Church Management to correct his violations of Policy and Technology, his harmful acts against the Scientologists of the Riverside area, his denying upper level Church services by tricking Scientologists into talking unnecessary services at the Riverside Mission rather than letting them move on to higher Churches and services, and misuse and perversions of the technology and Scientology. For the above reasons Bent Corydon was removed as the Mission Holder in Riverside in 1978. However, after the time Bent approached Church executives and asked to be reinstated. This met with the agreement of Riverside Scientologists and he was returned to his position as Mission Holder in the belief that he had honestly made a change for the better, had repented and would apply standard technology according to the policies of the Church. "There is one Tech and that is Standard Tech. "Unfortunately there is other Tech around. This other Tech is a Liability. Other Tech is defined as any tech which is not standard Tech." HCO PL 31 May 1968 Scientology Technology Nevertheless in the past year Bent has continued to oppose Scientologists moving up the Bridge. He has betrayed the trust of parishioners, his staff and Church of Scientology Officials. Bent has attempted to hold his parishioners under his control by making them fully dependent upon him in order to have any gains. He has done this by falsely interpreting the religious technology of Dianetics and Scientology and making his parishioners subjectively unable to honestly achieve gains for themselves as they always "needed" Corydon if they were to "understand" and "benefit from" his perversion of Standard Dianetics and Scientology. He has also used his opinions and interpretations to propagandize his parishioners into his "followers" preventing them from being able to achieve higher states of spiritual awareness by standardly advancing up to more senior Churches of Scientology where upper level services are available. While preventing to operate for the spiritual benefit of all his parishioners Bent has been guilty of squirrel activities and has been lying all along to those who trusted him. "Squirreling (going off into weird practices or altering Scientology) only comes about from non-comprehension. Usually the non-comprehension is not of Scientology but some earlier contact with an off-beat humanoid practice which in its turn was not understood. "When people can't get results from what they think is standard practice, they can be counted on to squirrel to some degree. The most trouble in the past two years came from orgs where an executive in each could not assimilate straight Scientology. Under instruction in Scientology they were unable to define terms or demonstrate examples of principles. And the orgs where they were got into plenty of trouble. And worse, it could not be straightened out easily because neither one of these people could or would duplicate instructions." … HCO PL 7 Feb 1965 Keeping Scientology Working For years Bent Corydon has resisted efforts of Church executives to help him recover the dwindling size of his Mission in Riverside. During the period of time Bent was removed from his position of Mission Holder, the Mission did expand. Bent sought to blame Management for the recent contraction of his Missions although Church Policy is quite clear on the reasons for this. "But you won't have people long if your data is not straight and your tech service excellent. The tiniest bit of squirreling crushes an org right out. Not because WW does it but because the public does. Every org that squirrels gets into trouble financially and doesn't expand. By squirrel is meant off beat technology. Let that in and the public stays away in droves. " … A few months, a year, two years and they're gone like last year's leaves. There have been dozens, slightly off or wholly defiant, and they have all gone whether we acted or not." HCO PL 6 Feb 1966 How to Increase and Expand an Organization Recent attempts to correct wrongs found in Bent Corydon's Mission of Riverside were met with natter and threats. In an attempt to cover up his actions and motives Bent committed his ultimate act of betrayal by harming those who would do good. He announced to his staff and parishioners that he had formed up his "own group" stating it was not aligned with the Church of Scientology. Bent avoided using any standard channel of recourse or administrative line to sort out any troubles he felt he had. He did not request assistance, justice or any other standard action. He instead went into a full blown attack which is proof enough that he is not really a Scientologist or well intentioned in his efforts. "I don't appeal to reason. Only to faith at the moment. When you have a reality on this, nothing will shake it and you'll no longer fail cases or fail in life. … "What are these natterings, upsets, ARC Breaks, critical tirades, lost students, ineffective motions? They are restimulated but missed or partially missed withholds. … "The only reason anyone has left Scientology is because people failed to find out about them." HCO B 26 Oct 1975 "Failed" Cases Bent Corydon's attempts to set up a splinter group that would steal and alter the technology and then obtain money under the false pretense that this was a correct technology are a calculated attempt to personally profit while working against the long-term best interests of all around him. In an attempt to gain support Bent has actually been suppressfully manipulating his public with false calculated propaganda designed to play and capitalize upon common hatreds and dislikes to encourage allegience to him. "Successful orgs, good dissemination, a salvaged planet, require the following basic things: 1. Workable Technology. This means something to offer that is desirable and will be received by individuals in the public body. 2. Good execution of the technology. This means holding a constant of application without variation in how it is done from person to person or place to place. This outlaws at once all squirelling and individual variations even when they are good for they bring about an inconstant of execution and this can wipe out technology, leaving one with nothing to promote and a dead end of all spread of technology. Hence, no articles in magazines giving differents points of view. Hence, no officially authorized books giving variant methods. Even if they are good, it would halt all promotion and end freedom for the planet." … HCO PL 21 Jan 1965 Revised 5 Apr 1965 Vital Data on Promotion It is evident that Bent Corydon has acted at the expense of the Scientologists in the Riverside area and the Mission of Riverside. He has clearly failed in his ecclesiastical responsibilities to his staff and parishioners. A number of his one time parishioners have now lodged reports with Church officials protesting Bent's most recent acts and still others have offered to assist in exposing his suppressive activities and those of his cohorts promoting his plans and dealings. Their help is appreciated. Bent himself has plans to actually be declared then to "wait it out" until he can some day manipulate re-entry into the Church, having completed corrupt plans which would enable him to continue to forward his squirrel version of Dianetics and Scientology in a non religious manner to forward his own suppressive activities for personal gain. He has promoted this in his attempts to fool others into siding with him. The Church is aware of this and his plans will of course never be realized. "There is only one way out for a dishonest person - facing up to his responsibilities in the society and putting himself back into communication with his fellow man, his family, the world at large. By seeking to invoke his 'individual rights' to protect himself from examination of his deeds, he reduces just that much the future of individual liberty, for he himself is not free. Yet he infects others who are honest by using their rights to freedom to protect himself. "Uneasy lies the head that wears a guilty conscience. "And it will lie no more easily by seeking to protect misdeed by pleas of 'freedom means you must never look at me'. The right of a person to survive is directly related to his honesty." HCO B 8 Feb 1960 Honest People Have Rights, Too Bent Corydon has chosen to set himself off from the Church of Scientology and block the carefully mapped route of Standard tech for others. He has mocked the subject of a Declare, and has aligned himself with a small number of Suppressive Persons who have been expelled from the Church long since. Scientologists and non-Scientologists alike are alerted to his past behavior and to his true nature. Bent Corydon has committed the following Suppressive Acts: 1. CONTINUED ADHERENCE TO A PERSON OR GROUP ACTIVELY PRONOUNCED A SUPPRESSIVE PERSON OR GROUP BY HCO. 2. SEEKING TO SPLINTER OFF AN AREA OF SCIENTOLOGY AND DENY IT PROPERLY CONSTITUTED AUTHORITY FOR PERSONAL PROFIT, PERSONAL POWER OR TO "SAVE" SCIENTOLOGY. 3. ORGANIZING SPLINTER GROUPS WHICH TAKE AND PERVERT SCIENTOLOGY MATERIALS OR PRACTICES, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, STILL CALLING IT SCIENTOLOGY OR CALLING IT SOMETHING ELSE. 4. ORGANIZING SPLINTER GROUPS TO CONFUSE PEOPLE ABOUT THE TRUE BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF SCIENTOLOGY OR TO DECEIVE THEM INTO CONSIDERING THAT THEY WILL BE ABLE TO STUDY PART OR ALL OF SCIENTOLOGY OR RECEIVE STANDARD PASTORAL COUNSELLING FROM THE SPLINTER GROUP. 5. ENGAGING IN MALICIOUS RUMOUR-MONGERING TO DESTROY THE AUTHORITY OR REPUTE OF ONE'S FELLOWS OR EXECUTIVES OF SCIENTOLOGY CHURCHES OR MISSIONS OR ORGANIZATIONS. Bent Corydon is therefore DECLARED and EXPELLED from the Church of Scientology. He is debarred from ever again entering any Scientology group or organization. He may never again receive services. He is advised to consult HCO PL 16 May 1980 II ETHICS SUPPRESSIVE ACTS SUPPRESSION OF SCIENTOLOGY AND SCIENTOLOGISTS, page seven, section entitled EXPULSION. Any Scientologists found to be maintaining a line with, offering support to, or in any way granting credence to Bent Corydon and his actions or motives is also subject to declare and denial of any further services forever. Listings of all past and present Riverside Mission parishioners have been gathered. Each will be contacted to collect his or her PC folders and report to the Scientology Sunnyslope Mission at 3336 Viola Drive, Riverside, California until further notice is given as regards the Riverside Mission, or to report to their nearest local org: Church of Scientology of California Los Angeles Organization, 1415 N. Berendo Street, Los Angeles, California; or, Church of Scientology of San Diego, 348 Olive Street, San Diego, California. At these locations they will receive any handlings needed to correct out-tech received at the Corydon Mission. Standard Church services and spiritual counselling is available at the Scientology Sunnyslope Mission and the nearest local organization as given above. Any few who may refuse will be considered in conflict with the Church and its stated aims. As such a refusal is tantamount to proferring support of this squirrel and intent to remain with him, they will also be declared and expelled from Scientology forever. Bent had a very very successful Mission. I dare say he was making as much money, or more, than even ASHO. He was declared because RTC wanted his Mission. Dean Stokes had called him from the Mission Holder's Conference and told him that RTC was going to take Bent's mission away from him. Consequently, Bent was able to get a head start on preventing that from happening. Lawsuits were filed.Bent had the Riverside Mission in the old YMCA building in downtown Riverside. It covered an entire block and was worth millions. RTC began an harrassment program on Bent and his family that was awesome in it's brutality. I went on course at Riverside after I left cos, and was privy to some of the examples of criminal behavior perpetrated against Bent and his family and his staff. There were literally dozens of PIs, 'Minutemen', GO, and whatever rabble RTC could muster surrounding Bent's every move. One scn'ist threw himself against Bent's car and filed charges for attempted murder. It went on and on and on. Bent finally won his lawsuit to retain his property after years and years of litigation. I don't know where he is or what he is doing now. la ||||| From: martinottmann@yahoo.com (Martin Ottmann) Newsgroups: alt.religion.scientology Subject: Re: Declare and Expulsion - Bent Corydon Date: 15 Jan 2003 15:55:11 -0800 Organization: http://groups.google.com/ Lines: 9 Message-ID: <71d327bb.0301151555.755f9ad4@posting.google.com> References: <71d327bb.0301131534.400708d2@posting.google.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: 212.198.0.96 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-Trace: posting.google.com 1042674912 1410 127.0.0.1 (15 Jan 2003 23:55:12 GMT) X-Complaints-To: groups-abuse@google.com NNTP-Posting-Date: 15 Jan 2003 23:55:12 GMT Path: news2.lightlink.com!news.lightlink.com!quark.scn.rain.com!chilly.oregonvos.net!canoe.uoregon.edu!logbridge.uoregon.edu!newsfeed.stanford.edu!postnews1.google.com!not-for-mail Xref: news2.lightlink.com alt.religion.scientology:1587407 ladayla wrote in message news:... > Bent finally won his lawsuit to retain his property after years and years of > litigation. No, but good that you have asked. My notebook says that there were two lawsuits initiated by Bent Corydon: 1) Bent Corydon vs. Author Family Trust et al (C 694401), filed on August 3rd, 1988 2) Bent Corydon et al vs. CSC et al (NVC 014274), filed on September 14th, 1987 The first one must be the one, that is missing in the LA court records. The second should be filed in Orange County or Riverside County. ||||| From: Tilman Hausherr Newsgroups: alt.religion.scientology Subject: Re: Declare and Expulsion - Bent Corydon Date: Fri, 17 Jan 2003 23:57:14 +0100 Organization: Xenu's Ranch Lines: 25 Message-ID: References: <71d327bb.0301131534.400708d2@posting.google.com> <71d327bb.0301151555.755f9ad4@posting.google.com> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Trace: news.eusc.inter.net 1042844234 10782 217.81.107.146 (17 Jan 2003 22:57:14 GMT) X-Complaints-To: abuse@eusc.inter.net X-Newsreader: Forte Agent 1.92/32.572 Path: news2.lightlink.com!news.lightlink.com!skynet.be!skynet.be!news.tele.dk!news.tele.dk!small.news.tele.dk!eusc.inter.net!news.eusc.inter.net!not-for-mail Xref: news2.lightlink.com alt.religion.scientology:1588089 On 15 Jan 2003 15:55:11 -0800, martinottmann@yahoo.com (Martin Ottmann) wrote in <71d327bb.0301151555.755f9ad4@posting.google.com>: >ladayla wrote in message news:... > >> Bent finally won his lawsuit to retain his property after years and years of >> litigation. > >But when you go to the LA County courthouse and you check in the >microfilms department of the archives for the file of his lawsuit, you >won't find anything, because the whole file has "miraculously" >disappeared.
