However sweet the individual SP may be, his or her intentions are bad. You are not presenting an image of good people trying to save humanity. This is the image that is attacked. We are not to be associated with a crucified Christ nailed to a cross. Our image is that we are powerful, and are surviving and expanding well, and that we are not do-gooders. Remember that you chop entheta as hard as you like, and then promote in the pause that follows. I have put down the ways of chopping entheta. We are not anti-drugs - nor are we pro-drugs. We are indifferent and don't use them. We are not on the anti-drug campaign. List of Questions that are asked by SPs If you have to interviewed - this is the type of question - and the answers. Q.1. Scientology has been banned in Australia - hasn't it? The Melbourne Inquiry led to a law banning Scientology in Australia - didn't it? Answer. That is incorrect. The only place in the world where Scientology was banned was in the little state of Victoria in Australia. Scientology is florishing in the other Australian states. The Melbourne Enquiry banning was an example of rather primitive legal structure based on convict agreements - which apparently do not agree with the concept of religious freedom or Man's basic rights to have his own beliefs. Q.2. Scientology has been the subject of a lot of publicity in newspapers, who seem to be universally against you. Why do you think this is? Answer. Newspapers in general tend to be hysterical in order to raise their circulation figures. Their articles are ignorant and unfounded, and we have had some very good reviews in newspapers and magazines recently from individuals who have actually personally inspected Scientology. William Burroughs, the well-known American writer is one of them. Q.,3. The Minister of Health, Mr. Kenneth Robinson, who is fairly well educated etc. etc. has called your cult hollow and potentially harmful - if your cult is so good, why this? Answer. Mr. Robinson was not advised well. He never personally inspected Scientology, nor did he take note of the hundreds of thousands of success stories and successful people in Scientology. The myth that we are potentially harmful, whatever that may mean, is obviously untrue, as we are expanding so fast that we can hardly keep up with it. [Q.4.] You charge enormous amounts of money for processing and training - why? Why not have free courses to benefit humanity? Answer. We charge for results. We produce results - so much so that if anyone is not happy with their results, we refund their money. Can you tell me of any other religion that refunds for no results? We have free services initially for those who wish to take them - our services free and charged for are publicised widely. Q.5. There have been several people in the papers suing you for money back - if you refund, why is this? Answer: That is sub judice - so I can't comment, but obviously there is more to it than a simple refund. Q.6. I've heard it said that every time a newspaper prints a story about you, you sue for libel to shut the paper up. This is not in accordance with the rights of a free press. Answer. No comment. Sub judice. Q.7. What does fair game law mean? Fair game in English means that you can do anything you like to a person - hunt them down, murder them, kill them ... Answer. In Scientology we protect our members and do not allow one Scientologist to sue another. Once a Scientologist is declared Fair Game, we will no longer protect him or her if he or she gets into any trouble - then he or she gets out of it without help. He is she is fair game for non-Scientologists. Q.8. I've heard about disconnect letters and the way you force families to break apart, and husbands to disconnect from their wives - this is destruction of family life isn't it? Answer. No one in Scientology is forced to disconnect from anyone. This is entirely the individual's choice. He or she can go handle the situation that is upsetting them and return, with it handled, or can disconnect for a period of time so that nothing disturbe their progress. When their auditing is finished it's the individual's choice whether he or she reconnects. Q.9. You have declared various people enemies and suppressives - Why? Isn't it cruel and unfair? Answer. Any group has the right to refuse admittance to a member who is trying to destroy the group. If a person is an enemy, it is better that the rest of the group should be aware of it, as no group full of destructive members survive - as has been seen. If Hitler had been declared an enemy of the German people early enough, possible World War II would not have occurred. Q.10. What does Scientology do? Answer. Raises the spiritual awareness of individuals etc. etc. N.B. Emphasis on religious aspect as well as ability aspect. Q.11. You are a non-profit organization - but you charge fees and make a profit - so how you you [sic] be non-profit-making? Answer. I draw your attention to what non-profit means. It means that all money made is plowed back into improvements of the organization and expansion. This is done by every Church in the world, and very successfully by the Roman Catholic Church. No group can survive in charity, and if it is charitable it is a solution to a problem that isn't being handled. Oxfam is a solution to problems in underdeveloped countries. If the problem in those countries were being correctly handled, Oxfam would not exist. Q.12. Do you think that drugs are good? Answer. We do not use drugs, and find them unnecessary. Q.13. Why did Ron Hubbard divorce his first wife? Answer. That is Ron Hubbard's business, not yours and is irrelevant. Q.14. Is it true that Ron Hubbard has been banned from England? Answer. No. Q.15. Where is LRH? Answer. I have no idea. I hope he is enjoying himself. Q.16. What is the Sea Organization? Answer: An organization which sails around the world interested in gases and oils under the sea. Q.17. Why is this necessary? Answer: Exploration of the sea is a very interesting project - which the Sea Org is engaged on. Q.18. L. Ron Hubbard is a millionaire making money from you, as you slave away for a very small sum. Don't you think this is wrong? Answer. Your assumption is incorrect. Ron Hubbard has private money in his own right. He makes no money from Scientology - all money made is used by the Church to further its expansion. Scientologists are paid according to the laws of the country. Q.19. You have been accused of brain-washing people - what do you say to this? Answer. The definition of brain-washing is: "subjection of a person to systematic indoctrinisation or mental pressure with a view to getting him to change his views or to confess to a crime." (Chamber's Dictionary) This means that you are decreasing the awareness of an individual by pain, unconsciousness and pressure, or drugs, whereas Scientology is increasing the person's awareness to assess for himself and hold his own views.
