[I wonder how often they intend to re-announce the beginning of some
kind of a "new era".]

RE: BRIEFINGS ON CURRENT ACTVITIES

The safety and security of Scientology and to all loyal staff members
and Scientologists, justice, forward progress and future stability is
now assured.

This has occurred as a direct result of:

(A) The establishment of a new, totally secure corporate set-up.

(B) The reversal of the Int litigation scene in our favor. Most staff
have heard, or observed, that there had been a deteriorating scene as
regards Church legal activities up until July 1981. Many have heard of
the cases such as the French Fraud Case, the Christofferson Suit, and
other damages claims (suits where individuals are seeking restitution
for some alleged wrongdoing). You may not have been briefed that in
the past 18 months this legal situation, which WAS potentially grave,
has been COMPLETELY reversed giving us complete success and power in
the legal arena. Just some of the most recent wins include:

(1) In the French Fraud case, three of the individuals involved have
been exonerated and found not-guilty and the fourth, and final, is
assured.

(ii) The Christofferson Case, a $2.3 Million damages case "lost" in
1980, was reversed by the Court of Appeal with the damage claim thrown
out of court and Scientology given complete religious recognition.

(iii) A $200,000,000 Class Action Suit*, filed in Boston, was
dismissed when it was established that no such Class existed and the
complaints fabricated as part of a "get rich quick" effort by money
motivated individuals.

(iv) The key terminals involved in the attack against Scientology have
been isolated and they themselves are now on the defense as a result
of successful legal handlings through the court system.

* Class Action - Where one or more individuals present a group, also
known as a class, having a common complaint.

(v) Not one individual has successfully obtained one dime in any
effort to attack the Church. Strong legal precedent set in recent
months ensures they never will.

Whereas in 1981 the Church was faced with several dozen court cases of
major proportion, we are now handling - and successfully- just the
last handful with ease. The Church and its members have gained a great
deal of respect as law abiding organizations and citizens.

THUS ALL POSSIBLE LEGAL THREAT TO THE CHURCH OR THE FOUNDER ARE BEING
HANDLED FAVORABLY.

(C) The discovery and nullification of an externally controlled plot
to seize Scientology management, which has resulted in the removal
from post and possible arrest of those involved.

As a result of the above, a NEW ERA of International Scientology is
now dawning and is well on its way to new and greater gains across the
planet.

A new management team, with full corporate powers internationally and
backed up by the control of all trademarks of Dianetics and
Scientology and with the blessings of the Founder is now fully in
place and functioning.

This management is highly dedicated, totally standard and completely
remorseless in establishing and continuing extremely efficient
standard orgs, org boards, terminals and lines.

All new management actions are directed with the following principles:

Clean, expanding, on-policy orgs headed by clean, honest on-policy
law-abiding executives.

Thoroughly standard tech applied uniformly and without exception. In
other words, full compliance to Keeping Scientology Working PL.

Uncompromising handling of any and all out-ethics personnel.

International line structures totally standard and rapid.

Books sold in volume to raw public and in-org public.

Routes established flowing bookbuying and all normal public into orgs
and onto the correct services and up the bridge.

You CAN have total confidence in the new management. It is composed of
very experienced, well-trained veteran executives with top production
records and stands for and represents the highest ethics standards
personally.

The days of infiltration and sabotage are over.

The new management is determined to bring an enormous expansion of
Scientology using the tools of policy and standard tech and will let
nothing stand in their way to accomplish this.

A period of no-nonsense expansion has begun.

Any actions or orders which you see on international lines from this
management body are done totally and only to accomplish this.

All the industrious and productive in-ethics staff who support them
will be supported in turn and valued. The policies on ethics
protection apply. Upstats are part of this winning team and will enjoy
the confidence and assurance that goes with it.

You have a comm line to this management body should you need it. It is
here and working to build a strong and everexpanding organization.
