ORGS AND MAILING LISTS

Ref: HCO PL 18 Nov 69 CENTRAL FILES VALUE OF, THE GROSS INCOME OF THE
ORG AND WHY

Mailing lists of orgs, info cards, prospect lists, or lists of people
who are partially or fully paid for services are the property of orgs.
They do not belong in the hands of any FSM or non staff member under
any circumstances at all.

Due to a false PL being issued broadly - HCO PL 17 Mar 68 "Boom
Formula" which was not written by LRH - cards of names of book buyers
were handed out to FSMs.

Some orgs took that a step further and even sold names from CF to
FSMs. This type of practice is completely, entirely and utterly
forbidden. Anyone working in a company and giving away mailing lists
of the company's to others would be dismissed on the spot and could be
legally prosecuted. The same applies to orgs.

Already there have been some declares issued on people found to be
selling or giving away org mailing lists, prospect lists, and fully
and partially paid lists. They are:

Dave Tropf, Becky Bornstein, Carl Carlson, Martin Samuels, Kingsley
Wimbush, Howard Rower.

The above named people were also involved in other severe out ethics
situations, never-the-less they were involved in gross out ethics
regarding mailing lists.

SO ED 2100 "Urgent, Important, Protect Our Organization, Reward"
covers the reward that is given to any staff member providing
information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons engaged in
such practices as giving away or selling orgs' mailing lists. That is
the gravity of the situation.

Hold this line firm and get on with the job of EXPANDING your org.
