Myself and 6 others did a little informal picket in front of and across the street from the Clearwater Bank Building. A couple of Clearwater police were there and were quite nice.
Grady Ward noted Scientolgy's response time was about 8 minutes. That's when 3 camermen came down and did their usual thing of getting boring footage of us.
We were sucessfull in getting the Scientologists to re-route their people to avoid us.
Randy educated some tourists who said they were Missionaries in Haiti. He gave them the lowdown on what Hubbard said about Christ and all that.
Plenty of folks driving by showed support by blowing the horn and yelling. A lot of thumbs up from people passing by. Some of the youth of Clearwater basically yell out whatever is on their minds, very funny stuff.
The funniest part of the night was one of the handlers who insulted myself, Randy, AND the Scientologist guy who was "handling" Randy. She thought we were all together! Not until he told her he was on her side did she realize this.
(Nice OT Powers, huh?). I got all of this on video and will pass it on to Mr.
Bunker to do with whatever he pleases.
My "handler" was Hans, who said he had to leave Germany because of Ursula Caberta. I told him I didn't care and he should take that up with Ursula. He wouldn't talk much about Lisa McPherson, or how much his "church" charges for their services. I pretty much handled him more than he handled me. For what it's worth.
I'd say the picket lasted about 1-1/2 hours. Then we all chilled and watched some of the footage.
Until next time.

My handler was actually a rather nice fellow, and a "new" face lately.
He arrived on the street corner approx. 8-10 minutes after we began picketing and seemed rather pensive at first. I immediately tried to put him at ease by greeting him in a very friendly "up tone" manner and we started a very interesting chat. Amazingly, he confessed right away to being an OT V and was curious to know why my picket sign said "Scientology is NOT a Religion" I told him that "source" himself had said that scientology was an "applied philosophy", whereupon he immediately "corrected" me saying "applied RELIGIOUS philosophy". I told him that one of us obviously had an M/U here and maybe we should consult someone.
He declined.
Being somewhat astounded about this fellows obvious candor about being an OT V, I couldnt resist making him my now standing offer to any OT that I meet. I told him that if he would demonstrate irrefutable, and undeniable evidence of his OT powers right there on the spot, that I would immediately put down my picket sign and join him and tell all the other picketers that they were wrong and should immediately go home.
I explained to him that I understood that OT's don't do "parlor tricks", but that this was certainly an opportunity to put his powers to a perfectly good use and acheive a BIG win for scientology and himself.
He again declined.
It was right after that when you arrived and our friend the skinny blonde woman with the german accent approached the three of us. As if on cue, she began with her now familiar "You guys are fat", "You smell bad" routine. I was disappointed that I didnt have time to tell her that I had worn my new Armani cologne this evening before the nice OT V fellow exclaimed "HEY!, Im with YOU!" to her.
Certainly one of the more memorable, and funny encounters recently.
All in all , a very nice change of pace this evening from the past few "screaming OTs" performances.
I did note that one of our "favorite" handlers, T.C. (Mary) Applebaum, aka "trailer trash", aka "Cheetos breath", made an appearance on the opposite corner, and was being her usual "venomous" self. A performance that was noted by several passing motorists, along with her semi- transparent shorts that revealed WAY too much about her choice of undergarments to the good citizens of Clearwater.
If you're curious how bad it looked Mary, I have the pics, and yes, you now qualify to be in the same Co$ photo "hall of shame" right up there with "Al Buttnor on the Cans" :) You folks seem to have some real M/U problems with the term "CAN"
