I'm just going to ramble on a bit about my experiences there in 1986, I'm sure many people can relate to my story.
The end of my story here contains a great way to surely discredit Scientology through exposing OT III with very little effort, but don't just skip to the end please! If you are all interested in persuing my idea, please respond back to this group, if we start in LA, California we'll get HUGE media coverage nationwide as soon as the "shit" hits the fan when they try to remove it (you'll see) and the media will publish the information FOR us for all the poor PreClears to find out for themselves!
Bottom line: I thought it was the greatest thing in the world... at first!
Due to all of their amazing claims of personal grown and realizations attainable, I couldn't wait to be OT VIII... just like all of YOU probably when you were first exposed to it all, right? LOL... (I feel dumb about it now too, so it's ok). And then we all had our experiences that lead us to this newsgroup instead! And so for me, shortly after I quit my regular job and WORKED in an Org (Orange County Org) I started to see through it all and had a loss of "faith" in LRH's tech. But it took years of being away from it to really appreciate how fuc#ed up it really all was. I used to defend it (the tech) but now I can say after reading the OT stuff that it sure is a bunch of sci-fi BS as far as the OT stuff goes. He may have some good courses at an entry level but once you start getting into his "spiritual being" BS, it's all wacky. I had "gains" as they say from the Purif and from the comm course and think that stuff is fine, and I even got gains from auditing but the OT crap is abunch of BS designed to make his business a "religion" to save him tax dollars, lets be honest. Just recently I saw a show on Biography about the church that rekindled my interest about the OT levels. I'd kind of forgotten about it all. But the Biography documentary said you could get all the "tech" of the OT levels online through regular old search engines so I had to check it out. So I did, I read it and now heres my story...
When I was 19, (1986) I was introduced to scientology somehow through my work. I made loans. I by chance met a customer that came to my office for an unsecured loan to finance his auditor training to become "clear" through the less expensive auditor training method ( I forget all the lingo but there were 2 ways to go clear, pay for auditing or training yourself to be an auditor). I guess when he went into his Org and gave them his check he mentioned to them that he got a loan from my company and one of the scientologists from his Org (either LA or Orange County) called me and said they'd love for me to make loans to ALL of their new people they are trying to recruit so I of course said SURE having no idea what scientology was!
$$$$$$$
I financed their new recruits and was referred to a couple other Org's and financed their new recruits as well. I eventually had a few Org's sending me customers to finance so that was cool with me. I really liked the people I first met in the Orange County Org which was the Org right by my office and the most aggressive Org I was working with in terms of getting me to come down and "check it out" so to speak for myself. A "Registrar" offered me a bunch of free auditing to get me enticed I guess to buy some auditing myself once I found that it "worked for me" plus I'm sure they wanted to have me as an ally to them since I was financiang their customers. I really did have all these "wins" as they call them when I was audited (come on now, all you guys that are "out of it" now and hate it now as a result also had wins when you were "in it" so bare with me here).
While I still worked at my outside lending company, I either got for free or paid to do the purification rundown and the comm course (I can't remember-I was given some things for free). I hate to say it but that worked for me too. I know everyone here hates scientology here but I'll give Hubbard credit for those courses. I was 19 and needed some help in those areas and it worked for me. Then I got some free auditing, and it worked too!!
Agghhhhhhhhhh....... hang on guys!! But it did, I liked it. It was HUGE to me actually, I got in touch with parts of me that I had suppressed my whole life. My emotions for example were so suppressed and I knew it deep inside but I never knew how to make it ok to have emotions. My dad was a stout German and emotionless in some key ways and I thought that was the way to be a "man" or whatever but it really wasn't "me" inside to be that way. OK, OK, so then I had some other wins in regards to love and myself. My dad always talked over me (I realize now he talks over everyone but at the time I was growing up, I thought he just talked over ME because I had nothing relevant to say and it made me incredibly insecure and self-worthless. Scientology auditing I swear to god opened me up and got all that crap off my mind about me being worthless and having no valuable opinions to share, etc. etc. and had me glowing with excitement and things to share with other people in just a couple weeks of auditing once or twice a week. I probably had 8 sessions maybe? I forget but it was all very valuable to me I must honestly say. I thought scientology was the answer to everything. Looking back on it now, I know I could have realized these things through lot's of different channels I guess but I'm not sure if they could have been that fast in their results but at the time it was scientology giving me the answers and the clarity and it did it FAST. So I was initially very impressed. I just want to give credit where credit is honestly due there.
So I had this auditing and these few courses under me and was seeing already now how the church was coaching its brand new members how to entice their friends to come into the org and try out a course. They told them not to refer to it as an "org" but as an "organization" because "org" sounded like something from another planet. I thought it was kind of funny to tell people that they should sort of BS their friends at first but at the same time it made sense to me that they were justifying it because "org" did sort of sound funny.
My free auditing and training ended about a month into totally enjoying it all once they knew I was hooked so to speak. I would have to start forking out the bucks to buy my own courses. So I did what any normal person would do, I quit my job and went to work for Scientology so I could get clear "for free" as a staff member because I couldn't afford it otherwise and I knew I HAD to be clear. I got a position with the registrars office as a salesman to sell the new members additional classes after they did their $50. comm course or whatever the heck it was that was really cheap as their introductory course after they read the book. I think the book it what first gets you in there, isn't it? Shit, I don't know. So anyway, I'm having conversations with other employee's there and talking about how expensive it all is and they are coming back to me with comments like "it doesn't matter if you have life insurance, you never die." "You can't feel bad about them giving all their money to us because this is what is really REAL so to speak. Becoming operating thetans where you don't even need your body anymore is what it's all about. If you could be an operating thetan you wouldn't need your body or all this MEST (wow, now there's an old work I haven't thought of in 20 years) and you can travel the universe in a split second and know everything and be this super conscious power, etc. that's why you can't feel bad about the price of things." Money means nothing and the church has to charge a lot because they are always getting sued." It's all about FREEING yourself from MEST anyway (Uhh, does that mean freeing it's members from all their money?) and becoming an operating thetan!"
Thinking about it now, for 5 bucks a hit, LSD will make you an operating thetan for a few hours and you'll still have your $350k when your done!! You could take 70,000. LSD trips and be an operating thetan for almost one full calendar year or go to scientology and not even be guaranteed to have ONE real out of body experience! LOL... So, I thought that was kind of intense but I believed it and thought that LRH knew and we all must really need to rid ourselves of our bodies we were "trapped in" as he put it and needed to fly free of all our things that were tying us down and sucking us into the "dwindling spiral" as he calls it. We're all doomed without LRH tech it seemed to me. But I guess that's the premise of ALL religions isn't it?
Hmmm......
So I sucked as a registrar, didn't feel good making no money and worked my ass off hour wise (the usual 6 day work week from 9am until 10 or 11pm, I forget exactly, and I made a whopping few bucks an hour. I forget exactly what, but I was on top of the pay scale because of my car payments and bills and shit I had. I swear to god everybody there made a few bucks an hour and shared a room together while the org made ton's of money. The OC org was really successful. Anyway...
I have a bunch of stories like this one I'm about to tell here but this one I saw unfold in the Reg's office in Orange County and it was really sad to think this happens all the time in every part of that organization but especially in the Reg's office where you've got a bunch of high pressure sales people brainwashing you to disconnect with your FAMILY so you can continue to give the church your money and not be questioned by husbands, wives, moms or dads:
When I saw an 18 yr. old marine get reg'd into a $5,000. auditor training course to become "clear" who earned less then $2,000. a month and he borrowed the money from some family member ( I think his brother) his mom and dad became concerned with what he was doing since he really couldn't afford it and the church told him after literally a week maybe to completely "disconnect" with his mom and dad because they were questioning him and were concerned about his safety! They never talked to his parents, they told him to LEAVE his contacts with his parents if they were going to fight him! But they were his parents and loved him obviously! I know this is no revelation, you all know about these stories. In 1 week, say goodbye to your family for the church! What the fuck is that? I really couldn't believe it on one hand but on the other hand, it somehow was "right" to me since they didn't believe the "tech" of LRH and they were in the way of this marines getting clear which he knew was really for the best for all his future lives on this planet and his eventual goal of ridding himself of his body and just becoming an operating thetan forever. His parents were only here this lifetime after all. So I was getting suckered into this philosophy without really seeing it happening. I'd half see it and think it was crazy and then justify it per the LRH tech in my next breath. So then I got really into it and wanted to know the "real deal" with the past and future of our existence in this universe so I spent (wasted) $60. bucks on "The Whole Track" tapes.
What a bunch or crap. His explanation of the stars and their formation was such a bunch of crap and completely false it just appalled me. Then I suddenly questioned his whole organization. I was very into astronomy and science and when I listened to his hocus-pocus Whole Track Tapes back them I had no idea his OT III tech was even stupider!
So then I found myself working there thinking I signed a 2 year contract or something and can't leave but think this is probably half good and useful but half complete bullshit! I always had trouble with the thetan part. I'm an atheist. And I actually started to believe that I must be a thetan because LRH said I'm one and then I listened to the whole track tapes and realized I didn't have a thetan inside me just waiting to get out either.
So I thought I'd use the auditing that worked on me to continue my gains and wins I'd had before and just not believe the spiritual crap and take the parts I liked and ignore all the thetan BS. I real quickly lost respect for everything there because I saw how everyone was so into the LRH "word" and it was just too structured for me and I was too free to be confined in all of that narrow minded thinking. I left after a few months with a bill of a few thousand dollars (I forget what they call it) but it's how they try and trap you into staying there or else face the wrath of this giant bill for all the "free" services you got in exchange for working there. Anyway, I left and went back to my job a few months later and was never pressed to repay my "debt."
I guess I should say that I like everyone else at the time they were involved in Scientology sold their "fortunes" no matter how big or small to give it to the church. I sold all my rare coins I was given as a child to buy an e-meter, all these fricken tech books ($2,000 worth) and some other crap I sold for a quarter of what I paid for them later on after I left. $ci completely condemn their customers from buying books that are "used" because they come from people like "us" because you should never leave the church so if you buy books or an e-meter from someone who left the church, they were bad news I guess and shouldn't be supported. It's all about the money for them (scientology) lets be honest. THEY want to sell you the books and e-meter! Anyway, I felt for years after I left that they were weird on one hand but had this tech that could help me on the other if I just took what was good and ignored the bullshit.
About 17 years have passed since I worked there and now while on vacation I saw this show on the Biography channel about Scientology. It said amongst other things that all the OT level stuff was available on the internet. So when I got back from vacation I checked it out. Boy was I glad to have left that place! If I'd have known that all the bullshit I heard on the Whole Track Tapes was towered over by bullshit on the OT level stuff, especially the OT III crap, I'd of left a lot easier and felt no remorse of losing the opportunity of LRH's "tech." Imagine is LRH smoked Salvia instead of popping "Pinks and Greys" when he wrote his stuff! That's another story, anyway...
In closing, I think the Comm Course and his basic teachings of the ARC triangle and simple low level introductory "tech" stuff like those classes are well laid out and makes sense and is useful, come on, it is, but the rest of his teachings, especially the OT stuff is clearly to me just his attempt at making his Dianetics technique to help people into a religion to pocket all the money and not have to pay taxes on it and the more he got fought by the USA, the more he strengthened his resolve to win against the govt. that denied his tax exempt status. He's obviously a very defensive, determined man and not stupid intellectually. He wrote encyclopedias for christ sake and could articulate very well, he's just warped in his game to beat the government at proving his business could be made into a religion.
All you have to do to make a "religion" is make your teachings spiritual in nature I guess so he did and created Scientology after Dianetics. He laid out that template and argued that his company was a religion too and finally won his tax-exempt status. Now he's dead and the rest of the poor bastards on staff have to deal with his bullshit OT levels as they get disseminated and laughed at by you and me on the internet. So now we need to expose it a little faster, RIGHT? We all know that slowly but surely people will find out that his teachings are all bullshit once they either pay their way to OT III or see it on the internet like I/we did/do. I only wish I found it them in 1986 instead of now!
SO HERE'S MY IDEA TO EXPOSE IT EASIER (OT III): Why don't people get together and pitch in to buy billboards in metro area's with Org's nearby and say to go to the internet and see the OT levels for themselves now instead of years down the road and hundreds of thousands of dollars later?
Can't a thousand of us pitch in $5. bucks a piece and rent a billboard by a really busy Org to start with? Come on guys! $5. fricken bucks!! Just give a link to a WWW. site in Russia? There are Russian website hosts that don't give a damn about copy write law of Scientology stuff, did you know that?
They HATE Scientology. They publish EVERY LEVEL in it's ENTIRETY because they see Scientology as a dangerous ILLEGAL cult! They have laws AGAINST scientology! Check it out, so let's rent these billboards one at a time and refer links to Russian website hosts and expose it all for what it is and get the churches legs cut out from under them one preclear at a time! No Money from PreClears, No Church! I found the below excerpts here in regards to Russian webhostings: See http://sf.irk.ru/www/avagram.html for a Scientology church attorney letter to remove OT copy write information from a Russian web host and a response as to why they would NOT remove it.
Wouldn't it be great? Imagine all the NEWS coverage of it!! COME ON!!
Order no.254 of Russian Health Ministry directly prohibits promotion and use of Scientology and Dianetics methods. The official "Handbook of destructive religious cults" also states that CoS is the "Destructive cult of satanic orientation". In such circumstances I am entitled to self-protection by the Russian Criminal Code, article 39, "Extreme necessity". I have enough information to believe that the secrecy around OT III directly threatens me and my rights and rights of other persons as well as interests of Russian society and Russian state as a whole, and that this disclosure is the only method I am able to use against this danger (Paraphrasing the Article 39) and so I am freed from criminal punishment for this disclosure. Also, OTIII was published and became known to unlimited number of persons during the Fishman case. And you should know that the (AFAIR) Holland court has declared that the publishing of paraphrased OTIII is legal.
According to materials published on the Internet, Church of Scientology violates at least the following Russian Criminal Code articles:
127. Illegal imprisonment.
124. Denial of help to the patient.
129. Diffamation.
110. Induction to suicide.
111. Severe health harm.
137. Personal data collection.
159. Fraud.
163. Extortion.
178. Monopoly.
182. Knowingly false advertisement.
235. Illegal medical business.
239. Creation of organization, threatening personality and rights of citizens.
291. Giving bribe.
309. Buying or threatening a witness.
It's clear that preservation of OTIII in secrecy contradicts the article 732.1 stating that your client should disclose the information about the dianetics to the clients before they agree to study it. Misidentification of UFO cult as the health preservation method clearly contradicts this requirement. - These are Russian beliefs.
Let's disseminate and then self decimate Scientology by not doing any bad mouthing of it at all, let the people decide for themselves! Just my thoughts. Can't a thousand of us pitch in $10. bucks a piece and rent a billboard by a really busy Org to start with? Just give a link to a WWW.
site in Russia? No copy write info on a web address, right?

It's funny how I was away from this $ci crap for 17 years and in just one afternoon I can see all insanity of the entire organization coming back to me in these responses I've got through this thread here. So many emotions run so deep on both sides, just like before. You poor bastards.
What a bunch on weirdo's I always thought! Just like nowe. Twisted faces, ugly fuckers, skinny ones, fat ones, you can pick them out a mile away. Just look for the weirdo's that don't fit in and have an insane look in their eyes. Thank god I'm out of all this shit and just don't give a damn about it. People quote the LRH idiot like their quoting the f'ing bible for christ sake! F LRH! Another fallacy of feeble tales. lol... Right up there with Noahs Ark and Adam and Eve.
And yes, my brother HATES LRH and his willingness to split up families at the drop of a hat. You split up his and he's getting even now. I told about him about the idea to post our pics, he said were going to post both of our pics on it, with an #800 number to call for donations to post more signs as close to every big Org there is at first to bring out the truth about you fools and how you mislead people to think they have only one soul - and then spring on them later on that you betrayed them and they have hundreds or thousands of souls to pay $1,000. an hour to rid themselves of. And to disconnect from your families if they don't agree what your doing, see how all your preclears driving to your org will like that news when they get home and log-on to see what these keywords bring up. We don't need links to sites, the keywords do it fine. We're going to use keywords and a little persuasion. Can't touch that, words are words, paraphrased, etc. I can type in xenu, OT III, whatever, and it does the rest. Your day or reckoning is finally here your LRH freaks!
You'll see the billboards really soon, sooner then you think! You really pissed him of and this time you pissed off the wrong guy NONE... you should call yourself ZERO because thats more like what you are, A BIG ZERO.
Billboards are not expensive at all when your my brother!! He's a multi-multi-millionaire and owns the signs you fool! Do you actually BELIEVE the crap in OT III? If so, I thought Hubbard said he couldn't help the insane? Hmmmmmm...
You guys are a bunch of losers, followers and idiots!! Thank god I found this info to expose you all for the liars and freaks you all are.
