Our email identity has been illegally hijacked and the perpetrators are sending out viruses and porn spam that appear to come from factnet.org using email prefixes that we do not use. This occurred simultaneous to a massive virus attack on our computer systems began shortly after we published an editorial on Scientology's potential role in a 593 million dollar SEC fraud involving Earthlink and one of their leading members at http://www.factnet.org/letters/FACTNewsApril2002Slatkin.html

One major purpose of this cyber-censorship attack is to get unknowing individuals who receive these spammed viruses and porn emails to angrily report FACTNet to the Internet spam and virus monitoring organizations in an effort to get all of FACTNet's email accounts blocked or blacklisted so that FACTNet cannot send out Alerts, Newsletters and Editorials about dangerous cults and mind control to the thousands of individuals who are on its double opt-in mail and media lists.

We are working to track all of these illegal emails back to the ISPs and the individuals from whence they were sent. We are accumulating data and preparing for a new SLAPP suit.

If you get any of these spam e-mails loaded with a virus or porn spam with a ***@factnet.org email address please forward it to manage@factnet.org so that we may examine the e-mail headers and get this additional information to the proper authorities.
