One of the core beliefs of the Scientology cult is that psychiatrists are evil. Of course, this is because they warn people against Scientology!
I'd never heard of "Superphonics", but the following lines from the article about "Elian & The New World Order" led me to check on them:
"Remember, psychiatry is an instrument of the state... Such treatments ... usually involve chemicals (drugs), brain operations and electric shock at the hands of someone with medical training (an asset if one wants to keep the 'miscre- ants' alive as they are tortured for their 'crimes' against the state)"
Here's a good listing of Scientology front groups:http://home.snafu.de/tilman/prolinks/ Sure enough, "Superphonics", run by Tracy Sherwood, is one of them.
Scientology has a large number of these stealth organizations that have the function of sucking people into the cult by getting them involved with some activity and not telling them that it's being run by Scientology until it's too late.
"Superphonics" is particularly disturbing because its targets are *children*. It even has a boarding school where people send their kids for educational improvement, and they actually get indoctrinated in Scientology.
Here are three Web addresses of the main listing of websites about Scientology (many hundreds of them):
http://xenu.phys.uit.no/cos/arsweb.html
http://www.religio.de/server/webpag.html
http://www.entheta.org/arsweb.html The cult uses a simple type of lie-detector called an "E-Meter" to ensure that its victims believe what they're being told. The victims actually pay for this indoctrin- ation, which is claimed to improve their emotional state, but usually has the opposite effect. The entire program, which all recruits are strongly urged to take, ends up cost- ing each one about $250,000! After paying a quarter of a million dollars, they get to see the "Sacred Scriptures" of Scientology, which turn out to be a couple of bad science fiction stories written by L. Ron Hubbard! Scientologists have been trying to get the entire Internet censored, be- cause people have posted these stories on Usenet and the Web.The many TV ads for the book "Dianetics", and the new movie "Battlefield Earth" are also means for pulling people into the cult. Give your name and phone number or address in response to either one, and Scientologists will be working on you and your children for the rest of your lives.
If all this seems ridiculous, just read a few of the websites linked off the addresses given above.
