Most of these links are broken, and the dsl versions stop playing after 10
seconds. But what I saw in part 3 was interesting. Bob walks back and
forth quietly while a woman screams at him "you never even knew her," I
assume about Lisa McPherson.
A few years ago we had a case in the Philadelphia area where a high school girl delivered a baby in the bathroom at her prom. She disposed of the baby, who was born alive. She was convicted and served some time. How should the police and prosecutors have responded if she had yelled at them about her baby daughter "you never even knew her!"? What sort of argument is this? If 10 of your friends gang up and kill you, that's OK also?
The sad part is that Scientologists in Clearwater knew Lisa McPherson. And they let her die anyway. They should have taken her to a real doctor, at a real hospital. They're not even sorry about it. They would do it again to another person under the same circumstances.

I agree.
Let the picket signs do the talking.
It lends legitimacy to the claim of intending to conduct a "peaceful protest".
My own impulse would be to also assist police in restoring order. That is, when the officer was indicating he wanted to separate the two groups, the thing to do would be to comply by doing so.
The police probably view things as two nut case groups vying off, seeking to provoke each other to aggression, hoping for an arrest. (The judge said as much in his findings earlier on the assault charge.)
The shouting and calling attention to alleged transgressions such as bumping and pushing, stepping on toes, blocking one's path, etc, then, is treated as grandstanding and more or less ignored.
Basically, the police are going to attempt to portray neutrality, allowing individuals to vent at them but not take any action.
I would take along a piece of paper (or several) containing statements such as:
"I have a legal right to unimpeded movement on a public sidewalk."
"I have a legal right to express my views publically in a peaceful manner such as this." and "I have notified police of my intention to be here and do so."
Etc.
(Specific laws could be quoted here also-either constitutional or local) "I am asking you to assist me in allowing me to exercise these rights."
I would remain mute in my picket. If things became confrontational and police were to hand, I would simply hand them the paper and say little other than "would you please help me"? or some such.
My point is you are both making clear what your intentions are and at the same time aligning them with those expected of the police, prompting them to act accordingly. Plus you have it in writing what your intent is showing clearly that you are both calm and rational. It comes in handy when the cult attempts to depict you otherwise-then, or later in a court of law.
Plus you don't have to shout above the din to make yourself heard.(!) Then again.......... I wasn't there.

Hope I am wrong but seeing the hate in those scientologist eyes and the
abnormal behavior, it wouldn't surprise me if this will be the year
the first critic will be killed by them. Critics have been punched, spit
at, blocked a blind critics path, dragged inside a cult building and
attempted to run a critic off the road by car. There's nothing in the
way for the scientology-hate mongers to kill a critic "per accident" -
and per Hubbard. A Flag bus with "faulty breaks" can do a lot of harm.
And who's going the prosecute the business afterwards, McCabe? Sure..
