1.THIS IS THE "RIGHT TO ANSWER" ISSUED IN FRANCE SOIR FROM THE FRENCH GOVERNMENT TO THE INSANE ATTACK FROM SCIENTOLOGY IN both "France Soir" and "International Herald tribune" against the french "Interministerial Mission to Combat Cults"

---- Scientology and its allies: A permanent danger for democracy Two days after having submitted the "Commission for access to administrative documents" [CADA; a sort of FOI administration, nt] to get the public report from the Interministerial Mission to Combat Cults, that everyone can get from the Documentation Française website, the scientology cult has once again, proven its ability to lure its interlocutors, by getting an advertisement published into the newspaper "France Soir", containing an incredible number of countertruths. The ad was paid more than 200000 FF.

Using a frenzied proselytism and a constant pressure on authorities, Scientology seeks to get, in every country where it sets itself up, privileges and position endangering democracy and, for France, the bases of the republican secularity itself.

People have to learn that this cult owns a secret service (Office of Special Affairs) and a paramilitary group (Sea Org), acting underground without respect of laws and Human Rights.

In the Report it has transmitted to the Prime Minister on february 7th, 200, the MILS reminds that:

1/ many notorious members of these organisations have been sentenced for facts of a penal [criminal for US, nt] nature.

2/ that many members of the cult have constituted files unrespectful of the prescriptions of the CNIL (National Commision about Computers and Liberties) (CNIL ruling 98-072 to 074, july 7th 1998, and State Council ruling, july 7th, 1999, the last noticing that scientology associations have demised their appeals). Many suits demonstrated ("district" court Lille, Dec. 18th, 1996, and Paris, september 4th, 1998) that some files could contain very private informations gotten during the "auditing" of members. These "auditings" can be compared more or less to confessions, or to comportementalist psychotherapy sessions.

The same notice can be found in a judgement in United Kingdom [High Court -Family Division-, London, July 23d, 1984], which said this:

"One of the most sinister aspects of auditing, one that shocked the father [a scientologist, nt] himself, is the corrupt, indeed criminal, use of the confessions made to the auditor..../...

What happens is that that person communicates to the auditor his innermost thoughts and relates any criminal offences or transgressions of any kind, any incidents from his life which are embarrassing or for which he could be blackmailed. These statements are written down by the auditor including time, place, and a detailed description of each incident as well as who were present and knew about the incident. Contrary to the assurance of confidentiality, all "auditing" files are available to Scientology's intelligence and enforcement bureaux and are used, if necessary, to control and extort obedience from the person who was audited. If a person seeks to escape from Scientology his auditing files are taken by the intelligence bureau and used, if wished, to pressure him into silence. They are often so used and uncontroverted evidence of this has been given at this hearing."

To such problems, scientology responds, by getting help from complicities it has built in United States, and launches a gross desinformation campaign of unprecedented aggressivity, using shamelessly the bluntest defamation. Still more severe, scientology dares to write between the signatures of its paid advertsing, the name of the collegue of an itinerant Embassador of United States!

The Mission, which scientology wishes evidently to see vanish, wants to submit to readers of "France-Soir" some elements of the doctrin actually taught in the cult. Readers can make their own opinions. Those quotes are from the book "Scientology, Future's Laboratory", Paul Aries (scholar). They have never been denied.

1/ Socio-political level:

"5. When you move off a point of power, pay all your obligations on the nail, empower all your friends completely and move off with your pockets full of artillery, potential blackmail on every erstwhile rival, unlimited funds in your private account and the addresses of experienced assassins and go live in Bulgravia and bribe the police. And even then you may not live long if you have retained one scrap of domination in any camp you do not now control or if you even say, "I favour Politician Jiggs." Abandoning power utterly is dangerous indeed." (Ron Hubbard, Introduction to Ethics, and OEC vol 7 page 356)"

2/ Regarding fiscal administration (encouraging anonym denouncement) "Every official having observed irregularities inside tax administration is asked to join this plan to reestablish justice inside the tax system. Every information delivered by a member of the tax administration will remain strictly confidential. Tax employees fearing penalties from their chiefs can send documents anonymously" (Ethique et Liberté, french scientology magazine, special edition, 1996) 3) Regarding refusal of the equality principle between men:

"There are only two answers for the handling of people from 2.0 down on the tone scale, neither one of which has anything to do with reasoning with them or listening to their justification of their acts. The first is to raise them on the tone scale by un-enturbulating some of their theta by any one of the three valid processes. The other is to dispose of them quietly and without sorrow. Adders are safe bedmates compared to people on the lower bands of the tone scale. Not all the beauty nor the handsomeness nor artificial social value nor property can atone for the vicious damage such people do to sane men and women.

The sudden and abrupt deletion of all individuals occupying the lower bands of the tone scale from the social order would result in an almost instant rise in the cultural tone and would interrupt the dwindling spiral into which any society may have entered. It is not necessary to produce a world of clears in order to have a reasonable and worthwhile social order; it is only necessary to delete those individuals who range from 2.0 down, either by processing them enough to get their tone level above the 2.0 line - a task which, indeed, is not very great, since the amount of processing in many cases might be under fifty hours, although it might also in others be in excess of two hundred - or simply quarantining them from the society. A Venezuelan dictator once decided to stop leprosy. He saw that most lepers in his country were also beggars. Scientology campaigns must no spare elected or professional magistrates, according to the witnessing of an ex-high executive of the cult, Jesse Prince... Jesse Prince is discredited in the last issue of Ethique et Liberté, using obviously what the american branch of that cult has been able to learn about him while he was a scientologist.

The French citizens should know that Scientology, its affiliated organizations (such as the so-called "Commision des Citoyens pour les Droits de l'Homme" and its allies (such as the 'Omnium des Libertés", of unknown resources, concur to the same destabilisation aims of the people and the society.

The MILS calls to the strictest watchfulness about them.
