Scientology has just received another setback in Germany. The Church's Office of Special Affairs (‘OSA') is maintaining a multiplicity of lawsuits in an effort to have Ursula Caberta terminated as head of the Hamburg State anti-cult investigation office.

In one of the six lawsuits Scientology had claimed that money Bob Minton had provided Ursula some years ago, for personal purposes, had tainted her integrity and independence and that her employment should be terminated. A German appeals court has just rejected Scientology's claim as ludicrous. Moreover, because Bob Minton had now switched sides and was testifying for Scientology, the claims of a Minton taint were even more stupid.

The written appellate opinion is now being translated. Apparently, the written appellate opinion is a scathing condemnation of the scientology cult; it's manipulations and its gyrations. The opinion rejected other lower court findings and upheld Ursula Caberta's right to publicly state that German Scientology children have to work like the children in third world countries. "Scientology means hard work for children," says Ursula.

The decision is a significant setback for Scientology's OSA in Germany, OSA's Commanding Officer Kurt Weiland and OSA's lead German lawyer Herr Wilhelm Blumel. Herr Blumel is Kendrick Moxon's German counterpart. Like Moxon, Herr Blumel appears to be a full-time scientology lawyer.

Any lawyer who has only one primary client can more easily be pressured into ethical compromise. Of course, Scientology attorneys must follow Hubbard's perverted system of "ethics" instead of the traditional lawyer's code of professional ethics.

The new German appellate decision is expected to severely damage the Church of Scientology's position in at least five other scientology-related lawsuits currently pending in Germany.
