I believe in freedom of religion and freedom of mind. I believe in God- pray and meditate and encourage people to pursue their own spirituality. I am a licensed mental health counselor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I have a master's degree in counseling psychology from Cambridge College, an accredited institution.

I have never kidnapped, humilated or tortured anyone in my life. I have participated in about one dozen involuntary interventions with members of the Moon cult in 1976 abd 1977- something I have regretted doing- although most of the people I spoke with were extremely grateful that their families loved them enough toamke the ffort to get them information withheld from them by the cult. Most happily left the cult and went on with their lives. Roselle went back. Then later he left, got married, had children. When I found out he had left, I did write him a letter asking him to write another affadavit which would tell the truth about what happened in the 70s.

Unfortunately, I did not know Roselle had flipped back into the Moonies when his marriage broke up. For the record there has never been a single legal indictment, much less conviction against me EVER.

As far as Angie Chandler goes, I have never met Chandler and never counseled her. This is a complete LIE. I was told that someone repeatedly telephoned her SAYING they were "Steve Hassan" and cursing at her. Too bad they didn't trace the phone calls or record the voice.

I have been very public in my opposition to forcible interventions and will have NOTHING to do with them.
