I've heard Heber Jentzsch, the President of the 'Church' [sic] of Scientology International, claim that Scientology has 8 million members for over 19 years now -- ever since at least 1982. Heber has defined Scientology members as persons who have taken a course.
About a year ago I had the chance to ask Heber about his lie. I pointed out to Heber that he was being "misleading" (I was being polite by using this term) when he defined "members" as those persons who have taken a Scientology course. Go here to listen to me talk with Heber: http://www.geocities.com/edmontonentheta/seeker/ I say that Heber is a "squirrel", in addition to being a massive liar.
Heber needs to read up on LRH policies that explain the difference between a "member" and a [erson whose name is in Central Files ("CF").
In the interest of getting Heber to get his lie handled, I suggest that he should read LRH ED 243 International Reinstated "Books Make Booms", dated 21 August 1975 -- over *9* years after Hubbard himself lied and said he was no longer issuing orders into or running his Scientology organizations. (Why is Scientology so *full* of liars?) In this issue, Hubbard says:
"9. MAIL MAJORS TO MEMBERS MINORS TO WHOLE CF."
I'll interpret this telex jargon (the LRH ED was originally issued by a *top priority* telex #260701R from Hubbard).
Scientology monthly magazine policy according to OEC Volume II is that the "major issue" is mailed to members every other month.
The "minor issue" is sent to every name in CF (central files) in the other months.
Clearly Hubbard differentiated between "members" and "CF" names.
Are you such a degraded liar that you can't grasp the difference, Heber?
I thought so...
But now you have no excuse for lying any longer.
