For anyone who is still getting promotion from Scientology, you might want to look at the latest issue of International Scientology News. (Issue 16).

Check out the stage set on the Hubbard's Birthday Event, especially close-ups of the Int Execs. It's a dead ringer for the High Priestess tarot card.

Two pillars on either side of the exec. The two pillars are atop two cubes, which also has occult significance. There are over a dozen pillars in the overall set, some black, some gold. I don't see a complete image of the set, but it is unquestionably supposed to represent freemasonry's Temple of Solomon.

Directly above and in line with the podium where the exec stands, there is a large blue sphere with the handwritten "Ron" across it. Ron is identified with the moon energy. Scientology is trying to say that their Int execs are the "High Priestesses." In the tarot card, the High Priestess is holding a scroll of "memory." Obviously, Scientology wants the audience to "remember"

what the execs' speeches.

The applause at events, with all the upping and downing is supposed to do something. This is covered in Crowley's Book 4. "At the sound of this Bell the Universe ceases for an indivisible moment of time, and attends to the Will of the Magician." (Page 109) And just who is all that clapping for?

Also see page 197--Crowley says the sound of the bell calls forth "true Gods to visible appearance", and further says the "bell" can be the clapping of hands, stamping of feet, etc.

Scientology promo for the 2000 Auditor's Day event used this tarot archetype with a slightly different twist. There they had the training lion sitting on top of the arch, and instead of the sphere with "Ron" written across it, they had the Golden Age of Tech Shield.
