Today on Howard's show they were talking about Tom Cruise's interview with Matt Lauer on the "Today" show where they were arguing about psych drugs. They all think Tom is just nuts. Robin Quivers said she didn't think Tom was the best representative of Scientology the way he's been acting late. Howard said Tom just parrots what Scientology tells him and then claims to be a big expert even though he's a high school dropout. Artie Lange said all the celebrity Scientologists seem to be bonkers. They played clips of the interview and started goofing on it. Howard said Tom probably hates gravity too but still has enough sense not to admit it. They said that for people with schizophrenia there's no way to cure them without psych drugs and that someone should drop Tom off at a mental hospital with a bunch of schizophrenics and see what he'd do then.

They thought Steven Spielberg probably must be really irritated about people talking more about Tom's wacky behavior than about "War of the Worlds". Howard said Tom screwed up when he fired Pat Kingsley and hired his Scieno sister to be his publicist. They thought it was funny that Matt Lauer told Tom he was impressed with his research when Tom hasn't said one worthwhile thing.

They wondered if Tom was really this whacked for a long time and just kept it well hidden thanks to Pat Kingsley. Robin said if Tom claimed to be so knowledgeable he shouldn't waste his time with a trivial career like acting. Howard said that Tom is a Thetan 4 so he probably is superior to everyone. Gary Dell'Abate said Tom will probably wind up doing a "Battlefield Earth" movie like Travolta. They all thought that Tom probably doesn't realize how nutty he sounds because nobody close to him will tell him so. Howard then said Tom is no better than a Trekkie and that he's so stupid he doesn't even know he's stupid. Howard thought maybe Tom would listen to a Thetan 5, or else L. Ron Hubbard but he's dead. They said Artie Lange seems to be better now that he's been taking medicine but Artie claimed he's better because he's a Thetan 6.

They thought Tom seemed to be self-destructing and really needs to see a shrink but then Tom hates the psychs so he won't do that. They thought it would have been funny if Matt confronted Tom and told him he was nuts and asked Tom if he was gay, and then have Tom punch Matt out. They talked about how they do like a lot of Tom's films but wonder about "War of the Worlds", how his recent behavior will affect how they think about it.

Then they changed the subject.
