When I first started reading about scientology, all the remarkable claims made in scientology publications caused raised eyebrows (mine!) again and again. Forexample the claim that Hubbard at the age of six was a initiated as a bloodbrother to the Pikuni blackfeet indians.
I found the L.A. Times series: "The Scientology Story" (june 1990) which rebuts the claim quite thoroughly, and I allso got my hands on a copy of the document which "proves" Hubbard really was a bloodbrother to the blackfeet (the document mentioned in the L.A. Times).
Allthough I was pretty sure that the bloodbrother claim was rubbish, I wanted to check out for myself. Therefore I went to www.blackfeetnation.com and asked for confirmation for Hubbards bloodbrotherhood (sic!).
The webmaster didn't know a thing about the concept of "bloodbrother", which leads me to believe the content of the L.A. Times article is right: There is no blackfeet-bloodbrother ritual - and Hubbard most certainly was not a bloodbrother to the Pikuni, except maybe in his mind.
The webmaster furthermore pointed me to a specific individual working at the cultural departement of the blackfeet in Browning, Montana who would be able to tell more. Over a period of 6 months in the beginning of 2002, I have sent 4 letters and an equal number of e-mails to this individual, to the chief of the Blackfeet indians (Earl Old Person) and others in the Blackfeet Tribal Council, asking for confirmation of the claim.
I have not received a response yet, and probably won't (long overdue), which makes me believe that:
1) The Blackfeet are getting tired of answering questions regarding the concept of bloodbrother, Hubbard and won't even bother to inform anyone anymore.
or
2) The Blackfeet have made an agreement with the CoS, not to comment on anything regarding the concept of bloodbrother and Hubbard.
Can at anyone at ARS point to publicly available blackfeet documents or
press releases, which comments on the concept of bloodbrother?
Thanks.

And again, the reason why I haven't posted this info to the n.g. is that I really didn't think it mattered. Now however, it does: I suspect someone in disagreement with my views has started to clutter my mailbox with porn (rape stuff, really evil) and "Earn a zillion bucks fast". I suspect this to be a scientologist - in return and as a demonstration of Newton-tech (Action<> Reaction), I won't keep silent anymore.
