Here is Reverend John Carmichael, President of the Church of Scientology of New York, flat out lying on his latest WABC radio interview: [excerpts]
+++ Host: Do you believe in alien forces?
JC: Wha ha, I'll tell you this for sure, your problems are not from outer space, your problems are from, uh, right around you. If you, If, and individual looks at, the way he treats other people, and the way he uh, he respects himself, then, he can improve things. +++
But your problems ARE from outer space. In fact YOU are from outer space. You, like all of us, were living on your home planet, were called in on ruler Xenu's orders for a tax audit, and it turns out it was a trick. You were snatched. Grabbed, injected, frozen, boxed up, brought to Earth, and brainwashed into thinking you are a mortal human, when in fact you are an immortal being with a god's powers over matter, energy, space and time. I'd call that a problem! The cult itself has called it a catastrophe in open court under oath. The cult said then that Hubbard wanted it known publicly and across the world that there was a catastrophe, and a gentleman named Xenu.
Mr. Carmichael HAS to lie, flat out lie, when asked about some of this. Even if it is in front of huge audiences. Because the lie does less spiritual harm than saying the truth about his cult's real teachings. The fact of severe damage, the process of giving this information on a gradient, the procedure of getting compensation for valuable information, these things are embedded in the cult's scripture. Thus the lying is formal, a process dictated by scripture, a ritual.
+++ Host: Do you teach that there are alien influences upon the world, and teach people to discern those?
JC: No. We're not, we're not, we're not dealing with...
Host: Who is, who is... Xenu? X-E-N-U.
JC: Umm. There is... umm, uhh... no such person... I would say that number one, but I know what you're referring to, and d.. you're um, trying to get into some matters which, um... you would say... um, are... uhh... esoteric if you like... There are certain matters in the church that we duh uh, that we don't discuss until people have studied, before they um...
Host: Um uh I can go on a website and, and see it, why... it's available, it's not hidden...
JC: You know, you can do that... and I can access materials from the Kaballah, but I'm told, I'm told by my Jewish friends, that... to properly understand the Kaballah, you need tuh, to have, certain studies beforehand, and that you need to be of a certain...
Host: Alright but what you're saying uh, But what you, you said to [host] Father Keane is, no, we're troubled by what goes on in this world, we're not talking about alien forces, right?
JC: That's exactly... That is right! That's exactly right...
Host: And yet, and yet, but then you talked about, but we can't talk about... the alien force named Xenu yet.
JC: ... Now, I'm saying that that, there's nothing central about, all that stuh... that material, that we're talking about, if, if there is material in Scientology, which can only be discussed after people have studied, and are prepared for it... then um, that is not central.
Host: I see.
JC: to the church of Scientology, because what were, what we're talking about in Scientology, I said an applied religious philosophy? It's one you use. +++
Xenu is as central as Christ's resurrection is to Christians. Sure, it's only a few pages in the Bible, but it's sort of a big deal.
The place in Scientology where you get hit with the Xenu story is the turning point of the whole theology. This event is key to explaining most of the things that have been mysteries before. Oh, it's central alright.
Mr. Charmichael, caught, is trying to minimize the spiritual damage he is causing by lying about the importance of the material. He has to lie, lie, lie. It's really the only thing he can do. He didn't have to deny Xenu though. Hubbard wanted Xenu and his catastrophe (but not the fact that you are an alien) widely known.
Lying is a Scientology sacrament.
The most incredible thing Mr. Carmichael is doing is appearing on the radio at all. L. Ron Hubbard surely would say it's the exact wrong thing to do, in fact he says in scripture never give interviews to the press. So why do they do it? Why is Mr. Carmichael, the New York honcho, doing this against Hubbard's advice? What he should be doing, is cursing out the radio hosts ancestry from afar or some such, far as I read the scripture. I dunno, I'm not a Reverend like Mr. Carmichael. Maybe the cult is falling apart, maybe they don't care about Hubbard's teachings any more, maybe they started caring that some of Hubbard's advice is unlawful, maybe this leaderless cult is just a shell of itself these days, more a financial institution than anything else, or some sort of playground for short people. I dunno.
Got an opinion? Good. Cause the cult people who post here won't have one. They only reply to the gibberish threads, in order to hide real discussion in a pile of gibberish. Funny how that works, eh? But maybe since I called them out, they'll respond by cursing out my, or someone's, ancestry. I believe that would be the right thing to do... let's see!
