How many more kittens have to suffer?????????????
c Associated Press Syndicate By S. P. AMMALOT HEBER'S CREEK, NC (APS) - To most, Dr. Mork Barker was a respected psychiatrist in the small town of Heber's Creek. But to those who knew the chilling truth about him, he was a cold-blooded killer out to torture small, innocent, fluffly kitty cats.
Over an eighteen-month span from 1994 to 1996, Dr. Barker reportedly maimed, killed, and caused great emotional damage to fifty-two of the cutest little kitties you'd ever set eyes on.
His neighbors tell blood-curdling tales of Dr. Barker's escapades. "I saw him chasing this one kitty with a lawnmower just last Tuesday," says Ida Mayberry, a small elderly woman who lives next door to Barker. "He was popping some sort of pills into his mouth and laughing this terrible laugh as he chased the poor dear around his yard. Poor thing... he had the CUTEST brown eyes... and this little... tuft of... of..."
Mrs. Mayberry was unable to continue her interview, as she entered into convulsions resulting from the incredible stress of remembering the terrible episode. She passed away soon afterward.
"I hope that psychiatrist is happy! My poor Ida's dead because of him!"
screamed her husband, Jeff, upon hearing the news. Mr. Mayberry, a veteran of two wars and active participant in community service, began sobbing uncontrollably. "How many more sweet old ladies have to die???"
Donna Taylor, a nurse who lives across the street from Barker, tells of more atrocities committed by the acclaimed psychiatrist.
"I saw him set up a model train in his living room. He's got one of those bay windows... I could see the whole thing. He grabbed this ADORABLE little black kitty by the tail. By the TAIL! He tied the poor thing up to the tracks and just sat there taking some kind of pills and twirling his moustache until the train ran right over it." Miss Taylor shuddered at the thought. "I hate to think about what he does to his 'patients.'"
Dr. Barker is being held in the county jail without bond. Sherrif Clifford Nelson told reporters, "We don't take kindly to kitten killers around these parts. Especially cute, fluffy, playful-kitten killers. Figures a psychiatrist would do this sort of thing."
