Anti-Scientology site attempts to deprogram kids

Given how much we've been gabbing lately about Tom Cruise and his altogether woeful impact on the parenting profession, it seems timely to point to Operation Clambake, a.k.a. xenu.net, an anti-Scientology Web site that tries to expose what it sees as the lies of L. Ron Hubbard's self-help movement turned "religion". And lo and behold, one section of the site is devoted exclusively to kids. The single-page FAQ talks to kids using the language of Scientology about whether Scientology is a cult, and how to recognize when your parents are too deeply involved. It also attempts to debunk some scary Scientologist behavior I hadn't realized were rampant problems. Questions such as "Do other children have to work?" and "A Scientologist touches me in a way I don't like. What can I do?" are guaranteed to send tremors down the spinal column.

I'm usually a live and let live kind of guy when it comes to "religion". Well, okay, the red string crap annoys me to no end. Beyond that, though? Mr. Tolerance. But I draw the line at fraud. Kudos to Operation Clambake for doing their part in the battle against false profits. (And yes, I do mean "profits".)
