Yes, the delivery is different, based on group sessions (manipulation by peer pressure, participants not being allowed to leave the room for hours on end, euphoria through exhaustion, etc.) rather than individual auditing.

Founded by an ex-Scientologist now called Werner Erhard who set up Erhard Sensitivity Training aka EST.

When that had been pretty well discredited by 1991, the name was changed to Landmark, and Erhard stepped out of the limelight, although Landmark is run by Erhard's brother, Harry Rosenberg and Werner Erhard has ultimate power because he owns the trademark (remind anyone of another cult?)

The 'religious' pretences of Scientology have been stripped out as well, leaving just a manipulative, money-grubbing litigious 'self-help' organisation, that starts by claiming to improve "communication skills" and sells more and more "Advanced Courses" to those who become hooked on the emotional highs from the sessions.
