A letter from Steve Fishman (From Micheal Pattinson's collection of the Top 100 ARS Posts):
To MARY SUE HUBBARD, a letter from Steve Fishman.
Note from Michael: I discovered this post by accident..I find it a fascinating angle to contrast with the usual ars postings. I feel I would also like to ASK MARY SUE HUBBARD TO POST TO ALT.RELIGION.SCIENTOLOGY. and not take her valuable data to the grave.
You are the only one who has your special knowledge of people and events you experienced. Nobody else can post it.
In the name of Mankind I so ask you Mary Sue.!

Subject: Come out of the closet, Mary Sue Hubbard !!
Date: 1997/01/19
This is an open letter to Mary Sue Hubbard:
Dear Mary Sue,
You are sitting there in your mansion on Mulholland Drive in Beverly Hills, reading a.r.s. in your spare time.... which is probably all the time, since you never leave your gates.
I wonder, Mary Sue... Wouldn't it feel good to tell us what has been on your mind all these years?
How did it feel not to have your late husband Ron on your visitor's list when you were serving that 1 and 1/2 year sentence in the Federal Correctional Institution at Lexington, Kentucky?
Were you mad that he didn't even come visit you under the fake name of Jack Mitchell that he used for the last 5 years of his life when he was a fugitive from justice and he was hiding from the FBI?
Or maybe you were relieved not to see him... After all, you couldn't have forgiven him for ordering the murder of your son Quentin, in 1976, could you?
While we are on the subject, didn't it make you the least bit angry when you saw Ron's reaction to the news of your son's death in Las Vegas? Ron exhibited no emotion at all. He was more worried about the cult's image. That had to upset you, just a little.
Now I know you tried your best to run the Guardian's Office properly. But how did you feel when Ron was laughing on the Apollo in the early 70's as he watched people thrown overboard from the ship? Didn't he seem like a cross between Captain Bligh and Captain Hook at the time? Didn't it bother you a little to see how cruel the man you were married to was?
Well, I know you must have heard about how he beat up his first two wives, Polly and Sara. So it might be a good catharsis for you to get on a.r.s. and tell us about those bruises that never healed... especially the emotional ones.
Well, maybe you don't want to talk any more about Ron. After all, some of your grandchildren are still in the cult. How does THAT make you feel? I know YOU don't believe in Body Thetans, do you? Or do you?
How far did YOU get up on the bridge, Mary Sue? Or were you too busy counting the money?
I am not trying to be sarcastic, only facetious.
Which reminds me... Didn't it annoy you that David Miscavige forced your daughter Suzette to work in his house as a maid? And that he drove your other daughter Diana to the brink of having a nervous breakdown? And how he succeeded in taking power away from your family, and how he denied you access to the gold holdings, and how he and Norman Starkey cut you out of the trusts?
I know you're not starving or on welfare. You still got 26 million out of the deal... But that is a drop in the bucket in comparison to the 1.1 billion you could have had... I guess you are the forgiving type.
Did you really donate $10,000 to the International Association of Scientologists in 1987? Or did the cult just pledge that cute little sum in your name to make it look like you still gave a shit...
What's your son Arthur doing these days? Is Eugene Ingram still fixing him up with prostitutes to keep him quiet?
You must really want to talk sometimes. All that rage pent up inside of you. You were a real tough cookie when you ran the G.O.
So why don't you throw caution to the wind, Mary Sue, and post something to a.r.s.
Even if it's just a note telling me to go to hell and stop invading your privacy.
But, on the other hand, maybe you want to talk after all.
Not in front of all these people?
Okay, call me at (954) 434-9777. That's my home phone number, Mary Sue.
I won't audit you, but I'll sure listen.
You probably have a few unkind things to say about Mike Rinder and Rick Moxon. We can start by talking about them.
Just one favor...
Don't take all those secrets to the grave. Let it all hang out.
You might make up for some of the things you used to do.
And a lot of people on a.r.s. might love you for it.
Which is more than you can expect from Scientology.
With Best Wishes,
Steve Fishman
